Xiaomi Mi CC 9e spotted on Geekbench

A device called the Xiaomi Mi CC 9e has appeared on the Geekbench 4 website. Its results in these tests depict it as a 6GB phone powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. The Mi CC 9e also apparently runs Android Pie, but that is all that can be gleaned from this leak.

A photo of what is supposedly the back of the Mate 30 Pro has leaked out of China, showing a distinct change in the design language of its predecessor. Call us cynical, but the timing of this "leak" coincides awfully well with the partial lifting of US sanctions against Huawei. Hype generation for its next flagship or just a camera happy employee?

No price cuts for the RTX 20 series as NVIDIA kills off all but the RTX 2060; Super prices and release dates confirmed

The release of the RTX 20 Super series will not coincide with price drops for current RTX 20 Desktop GPUs. Instead, NVIDIA will only keep on the RTX 2060 and RTX 2080 Ti, with the other two SKUs being replaced by their Super successors. RTX 20 Super series cards will start at US$399 and be available from July 9.

The upcoming 12 core and 24 thread Ryzen 9 3900X has posted seriously impressive Geekbench 4.3 and SiSoftware multi-core scores, leaving the Core i9-9900K and even the Threadripper 2950X in its wake. The benchmark results confirm that the CPU will have a 3.8 GHz base clock that it can boost to between 4.51 and 4.54 GHz.

New rumor from IHS Markit points to 16-inch MacBook Pro this fall

Recent rumors from analyst group IHS Markit are predicting a 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new device, which is speculated to feature a larger 3072x1920 display from LG, could debut at Apple's fall event this September. The laptop would be a good way to address fan requests for a larger MacBook Pro. Despite the larger screen, it may still have a small case that would continue the thermal issues that have plagued the MacBook Pro for years.

A recent teaser for the upcoming Lenovo Z6 smartphone suggested that it would have Sony AI cameras, a high-capacity battery and a "next-generation" processor. Subsequently, the OEM's vice president got on his Weibo and released more concrete details on the new device. It seems this phone will indeed be getting the Snapdragon 730 SoC.

A phone with the model number SM-A107F has allegedly gone through certification at the US' FCC. As this number is close to that of the Samsung Galaxy A10, it appears that the device in question is a new variant of the same. Unlike the supposed original, the SM-A107F appears to have a fingerprint reader, as well as a 3900mAh battery.

TOF camera now projected for Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Samsung has just allegedly trademarked a product called "Make & Play 3D", which apparently involves a time-of-flight (TOF) module that brings depth-sensing to devices such as smartphones. This suggests that upcoming releases from this OEM may have such a next-gen module. The Galaxy Note 10 may be as good a candidate as any for this upgrade.

The Tesla Models S or 3 have a feature called Navigate on Autopilot feature, which can allow one of these vehicles to follow a certain route while driving autonomously. The security firm Regulus Cyber has claimed that they are susceptible to GPS-spoofing interventions, which allegedly caused a test car to enact auto-turning behaviors while still 3 miles from an actual exit.

Intel Core i7-10510U and Core i5-10210U disappoint on Geekbench with lower scores than the Ryzen 7 3700U and Ryzen 5 3500U

Listings for the Core i7-10510U and Core i5-10210U have appeared on Geekbench, although their scores should be no cause of worry for AMD. The chips are outgunned by not only the Ryzen 7 3700U and Ryzen 5 3500U but also the current crop of Intel Core i U series processors. Oddly, these 10th generation CPUs do not appear to be based on Intel's Ice Lake architecture either.

The Nova 5 is the subject of Huawei's next smartphone release. It has been rumored to launch alongside a few variants, including a Pro version. The OEM has now issued a teaser for this device, which has also allegedly gained an Antutu benchmark score and several new leaked photos showing its screen, color options and (possible) fast-charging status.

Navi 12, 14, 21, and Lite variants of AMD's latest GPU range revealed in Linux driver code; RX 5800 could take on the GeForce RTX 2080

References to Navi 10, 12, 14, and 21 have appeared in lines of Linux driver code. AMD has already revealed the Navi 10-based RX 5700 XT and RX 5700, and it seems that there will be quite a few more GPUs to be released down the road. The same code also makes mention of “Lite” variants of the graphics processing units.

The highly anticipated Sony Xperia 1 only just went on sale last week, so it's a tad surprising that Sony apparently already has another flagship on the way. Launch is billed for July 9, and the device is expected to feature both a triple rear camera setup and a Snapdragon 855.
