A quick-change artist in pinstripes. For the first time since 2015 Lenovo has developed a new case for its business-oriented ThinkPad Yoga convertible. The Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga is slimmer than its predecessor and offers improved CPU performance. However, the convertible lacks several features available in the normal ThinkPad X390. We have done an in-depth review of the convertible laptop with an Intel Whiskey Lake processor.

Slimmer is better – or is it? The ThinkPad T490 is a radical redesign of the central ThinkPad series, the T series. Lenovo emphasizes a much improved mobility with a more compact, thinner, and lighter case. This begs the question whether Lenovo had to make any compromises in order to make these improvements. This time around, at least Lenovo does not skimp on the screen.

Slimmer, but does that make it better? It is a bit surprising that the ThinkPad T490s gets a new chassis since the manufacturer has already redesigned the model last year.
