It is possible that Nvidia may have discontinued making GeForce MX discrete GPUs for laptops. With integrated GPUs such as the AMD Radeon 680M and entry-level Arc discrete GPUs like the A350M and A370M now capable of media acceleration and 1080p gaming at low to medium settings, the GeForce MX lineup seems no longer relevant.

The RTX 4060 Ti is rumored to pack an AD106 Lovelace GPU, 4352 CUDA cores, 8 GB of GDDR6, and a TDP of 160 W. Latest reports from leaker kopite7kimi and MyDrivers suggest that the board will only bring a conservative performance uplift over the RTX 3060 Ti while costing less than US$500.

AMD's latest Adrenalin drivers for the RX 6000 series were ruled out from the list of possible suspects after more than a week of testing with brand new GPUs. AMD Strix Point APUs are slated to release in 2024. The chips reportedly sport a hybrid architecture through a combination of big and small CPU cores. Serial leaker Paul from RedGamingTech now alleges that the Strix Point’s iGPU has the potential to challenge discreet lower-end graphics cards.

Nvidia has announced the mobile versions of its Ada Lovelace-based RTX 4000 graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 will supposedly deliver GeForce RTX 3080-class performance while consuming a third of the power. Gaming laptops featuring the GPUs will be available starting February 22 at US$999.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti aka GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB has been benchmarked on 3DMark, where it performs on par with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, but lags behind the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT. Nvidia is said to launch the graphics card at CES 2023.

AMD reportedly denied an RMA request for an RX 7900 XTX card that was hitting a junction temperature of 110 °C with thermal throttling. More importantly, the company called the 110 °C hot-spot temperature “normal” before acknowledging the problem as a genuine issue.

A new leak shows the 3DMark Time Spy score of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 mobile. It scores 10,050 points in the benchmark, making it about 20% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3060.

The laptop version of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4080 scores 178,038 in Geekbench's OpenCL benchmark. It is about 35% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3080, in the benchmark and a bit slower than its desktop version.

Apple apparently had big plans, including ray tracing support, for the A16 Bionic's GPU in the iPhone 14 Pro but had to revert to a design based on the previous A15 Bionic. This was due to a major power consumption flaw discovered late in the SoC's development cycle. Such a setback is unheard of in the company's SoC team and is being attributed to several layoffs and lawsuits that the group in currently contending with.

Alleged clock and TGP specifications of Nvidia's upcoming Ada RTX 40 Laptop GPU lineup have now surfaced. The purported specs seem to indicate up to 200 W TGP including Dynamic Boost for the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 Laptop GPUs with boost clocks well above the 2 GHz mark. GPUs from the RTX 4070 onwards can be configured between 115 W and 140 W (+25 W) TGP with the RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 also slated to be available in 85+10 W options.

AMD released the company’s first RDNA 3 GPUs, the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT, on December 13. But this hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning out information concerning RDNA 4, a GPU architecture that is still more than a year. This time, Paul from RedGamingTech has shared details regarding the RDNA 4 architecture including performance estimates for Navi 41, 42, and 43 SKUs.

While the reference design arrived in mid-March 2021 with a US$479 price tag, the Asus Dual AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT OC Edition has an Amazon list price of no less than US$649.99. Fortunately for those interested, the ongoing 40% discount brings the price tag down to a more affordable US$389.99.

Nvidia announced the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080 on September 20. While both cards have been commended for their stellar performance increases over RTX 30 Ampere GPUs, many have bemoaned Nvidia’s lackluster pricing, especially for the RTX 4080. Specifications for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 have emerged online. Supposedly offered with the AD104 GPU like the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, the GeForce RTX 4070 will only match the RTX 3070's CUDA core count but will feature the same 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM as the RTX 4070 Ti.

With an impressive US$5,000 bid on the limited edition Powercolor Red Devil 7900 XTX in an auction that will end later today, eBay has quite a few less expensive video cards based on AMD's latest GPU. Sadly, the reference RX 7900 XTX design with its list price of US$999 is far behind the custom cards listed on eBay.
