Workstation or just a powerful office PC? According to the manufacturer, the Minisforum MS-01 is a workstation for performance-hungry workloads. Equipped with an Intel Core i9-13900H as well as fast DDR5 RAM, it can accommodate several SSDs in the device - all this sounds promising. The MS-01 also has a physical PCIe x16 interface for installing expansion cards. In this review, we explore the question of whether Minisforum has succeeded in creating a powerful workstation or whether it is just a simple mini-PC for everyday use.

Power hungry. The Helio Neo 16 offers a bright and color-accurate 16-inch display (2560x1600 pixels, 240 Hz, DCI-P3) in the 16:10 format, 32 GB of RAM, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports (Power Delivery). The powerful laptop is run by a Core i7-14700HX together with a GeForce RTX 4070.

Powerhouse. The lightweight, compact XMG Fusion 15 doesn't feature a conventional screen size: Instead of a 16-inch or 15.6-inch display, it is fitted with a 15.3-inch panel (2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 240 Hz) with a 16:10 aspect ratio. A Core i9 processor, RTX 4070, Thunderbolt 4 and very good runtimes round out its total package.

Good performance at a fair price? The Minisforum Venus Series NAB9 has been fitted with Intel's most powerful Alder Lake H model, promising great performance as a result. Nevertheless, its power limits reveal that Minisforum has put the Intel Core i9-12900HK on a bit of a leash, at least when it comes to its maximum turbo. Even so, its performance is still comparatively good. Our detailed review will reveal which advantages and disadvantages the Minisforum Venus Series NAB9 brings.

Good upgrade options for your office. Schenker's Work 14 Base is a simple office laptop which features a bright IPS display, good maintenance options and lots of ports. At the same time, its Intel Core i5-1235U offers enough performance for simple tasks.
