HP is currently selling the latest-gen OmniBook 7 17 for $779.99, or just under half its original price. On the manufacturer's webstore, the laptop can be configured with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, an octa-core Lunar Lake processor boasting Xe2-LPG integrated graphics, joined by 32 GB of on-die LPDDR5X memory and a 512 GB SSD. However, the main drawback seems to be the display, as it's equipped with a rather basic 17.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 and a peak brightness of 400 nits.
Connectivity consists of a Thunderbolt 4 port (40 Gbps, DisplayPort 2.1, Power Delivery), one further 10 Gbps USB-C (DisplayPort 1.4a, Power Delivery), three 10 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack. An Intel AX211 wireless card provides support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, although buyers can upgrade to the BE201 for an additional $20, which supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The notebook measures 15.59 × 10.18 × 0.6 inches (396 × 259 × 15 mm) and weighs 5.43 lbs (2.46 kg), while housing an 83 Wh battery capable of charging at up to 65 W with the included USB-C power adapter. Lastly, a 5-megapixel webcam with IR support completes the package.
