Almost a month has passed since GPD revealed the MicroPC 2 as a successor to the MicroPC it launched in 2019. Without warning, the company has now confirmed launch pricing. Not only that, but third-party Droix is already accepting pre-orders for those who do not want to participate in GPD's forthcoming Indiegogo campaign.
In summary, GPD equips the MicroPC 2 with a 7-inch IPS display and an Intel Processor N250. Moreover, the sub-500g device features a 27.5 Wh battery within a 171.2 x 110.8 x 23.5 mm housing. Ultimately, the MicroPC 2 will be significantly less powerful but also smaller than the existing Pocket 4 (curr. $1,499 on Amazon). According to GPD's website, the MicroPC 2 contains the following hardware highlights:

While the company has not confirmed when its crowdfunding campaign will go live yet, it intends to ship orders in September. In the meantime, Droix is offering MicroPC 2 pre-orders starting at $661.14, including taxes. The retailer is also offering 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB SSD options for up to $1,263.54 including taxes, too.
