Most of us probably want a 14-inch gamer with the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop, quiet cooling, and ideally for a low price. But the reality is different and compact devices in particular simply have limitations. Manufacturers also know sales figures and can estimate whether the additional work for more powerful versions will pay off. Asus put additional work into the 2025 ROG Zephyrus G14 and adjusted the chassis as well as the cooling unit to handle the two more powerful GPU options RTX 5070 Ti Laptop/RTX 5080 Laptop. However, you have to pay the price for the effort and the G14 with the RTX 5070 Ti laptop costs at least 3400 Euros in Europe. Only time will tell whether the sales figures have justified the effort.
Razer on the other hand decided to offer the RTX 5070 Laptop as the fastest GPU option, but now in a slimmer and lighter chassis. The price was also reduced compared to the previous model and our review configuration with the Ryzen AI 9 365, 32 GB RAM, and the RTX 5070 Laptop has an RRP of 2399 Euros. This begs the questions whether you are really willing to pay 1000 Euros more for 4 GB more VRAM and a little bit more performance?
As we have already mentioned in our full review of the Razer Blade 14, there can be some limitations in the QHD resolution due to the VRAM (can result in frame drops) and Indiana Jones was an issue, but this game is a VRAM killer and will also be an issue for the 5070 Ti Laptop rather quickly. But how about the 1080p resolution? We compared the Full-HD gaming results and focused mostly on modern titles.

Despite the faster processor and the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop with 12 GB VRAM, the ROG Zephyrus G14 is just ahead by 7 % on average in 1080p. There are outliers like F1 25 (which also has crazy hardware requirements), but we would state that you will hardly notice any difference in most cases. The advantage of the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop is obviously bigger in the QHD resolution, which we have also shown in our review.
Sure, we would have liked to see a Razer Blade 14 with faster GPU options and more VRAM would be better for the next couple of years. However, you also have to pay for that and the overall package of the new Razer Blade 14 is very interesting for this price point. Please see our comprehensive review for all information on the new Razer Blade 14.
