A new AMD laptop CPU has shown up on Geekbench. Looking at its specifications, the Ryzen AI 5 330 is part of the Ryzen AI 300 Krackan Point lineup, serving as a downgraded version of the Ryzen AI 5 340. The new CPU also features a further cut-down Radeon 820M iGPU, the specifications of which are currently unknown.
The Ryzen AI 5 330 scores 1,949 and 7,047 points in Geekbench 6.3's single and multi-core tests, respectively. Both figures are remarkably lower than the Ryzen AI 5 340 (2,776/10,668). Geekbench's back-end reveals the processor isn't throttling, so the low single-core score can be attributed to its somewhat low single-core boost clock of 3.721 GHz.
On the other hand, its multi-core score is due to a lack of CPU cores. According to the Geekbench listing, the Ryzen AI 5 330 features a total of four CPU cores: 1x Zen 5 and 3x Zen 5c, making it the first of its kind to have such a configuration. It was spotted alongside an Acer laptop with 32 GB of RAM.
