GMKtec has now given the EVO-T1 its first release, less than a month after it introduced the NucBox G10 globally. While the latter targets the low-end mini-PC market with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U APU, the EVO-T1 is much closer to the EVO-X1 in performance (curr. $889.99 on Amazon).
To that end, GMKtec equips the EVO-T1 with a Core Ultra 9 285H from Intel's Arrow Lake-H series. Manufactured on a 5 nm node, the Core Ultra 9 285H features 16 cores, a 5.4 GHz peak clock speed on Lion Cove P-cores and an Arc Graphics 140T iGPU. Although the iGPU is powerful enough for 1080p gaming, GMKtec has also included an OCuLink connection for adding a more powerful eGPU. Moreover, the company has equipped its latest mini-PC with the following ports:
- 2x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC-in
- 1x DisplayPort
- 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x HDMI
- 1x OCuLink
- 2x USB 2.0
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A
- 1x USB Type-C (full function/unspecified type)
- 1x USB4
The EVO-T1 starts at CNY 5,699 on JD.com, which converts to roughly $795 at current exchange rates. However, this price includes 64 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Presumably, the EVO-T1 will also be available with lower memory capacities when it arrives globally, which should drop its starting price too. Unfortunately, GMKtec has not indicated when that will be the case yet.
