GMKtec introduced the NucBox G10 earlier this month in China. This new affordable mini PC has now made a global debut. The AMD Ryzen 5 system is available on the international website with a starting launch price of $189.99. This base configuration comes with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
There's another configuration available, which features the same amount of RAM but bumps the storage to 1 TB. This second configuration of the AMD mini PC is available at $215.99. It's worth noting that both the configs are currently enjoying introductory discounts, and GMKtec didn't specify when this promotional sale will end.
As for the mini PC itself, it's powered by the Ryzen 5 3500U, an old APU from the Picasso lineup. It features the Radeon RX Vega 8 iGPU, which may not be able to run modern games at 1080p resolution but can handle less demanding graphical workloads.
The company also highlights the compact form factor of this new affordable mini PC. It's said to measure 103 x 98 x 42 mm, and even though it's small in size, there's a rich selection of ports, including:
- 2x USB Type-C
- 2x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x 2.5G Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
It's worth noting that one of the two USB Type-C ports only supports PD, while the other is a full-function port. Among the other highlights of the GMKtec NucBox G10 are support for triple-screen output, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a silent cooling setup, and support for up to 64 GB of RAM and 16 TB of storage (4 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus curr. $259.99 on Amazon).
