A new Strix Halo-based mini-PC has been revealed powered by AMD's Ryzen AI+ Max 395 APU. This time, a subsidiary of WPG Holdings called Abee has entered the fray with what it calls the AI Station. In summary, Abee is best known for manufacturing PC cases and liquid cooling solutions.
Joining the likes of the GMKtec EVO-X2 (curr. $1,499 on Amazon), the Ryzen AI+ Max 395 provides the Abee AI Station with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores that can reach 5.1 GHz, 32 threads and a Radeon 8060S iGPU with 40 RDNA 3+ Compute Units at its disposal. As the photo below shows, Abee intends to offer its AI Station with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, 2.5 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet too.
While these are nothing to write home about, the Abee AI Station may keep the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 cooler than many of its peers thanks to an in-house liquid cooling solution. Although full details about this solution remain unknown for now, Abee claims to have installed two 92 mm fans linked with a custom radiator to maximise cooling efficiency.
Moreover, the Abee AI Station features an internal 400 W Flex ATX power supply (PSU), unlike many peers.
Consequently, the Abee AI Station will only have a cable running from it to a power outlet rather than a large PSU. Pricing and availability have not been confirmed yet, though. Likewise, it is unclear whether Abee plans to offer its AI Station globally.
