The N5 Pro has finally been released after months of official teasers. Joined by the cheaper N5 in a simultaneous release, the N5 Pro leverages AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU like the AI X1 Pro before it (curr. $1,009.99 on Amazon). As such, the N5 Pro has 12 Zen 5 CPU cores, a Radeon 890M iGPU and a 50 TOPS NPU at its disposal.
Additionally, Minisforum has included a pair of SO-DIMM slots that officially support up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 ECC, as well as three M.2 SSDs and five 2.5/3.5-inch storage slots. On top of that, the N5 Pro will arrive with 5 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections, plus the following other ports:
- 1x DC 19 V
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x Kensington lock slot
- 1x OCuLink
- 1x PCIe x16 (PCIe 4.0 x4)
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (1x internal port)
- 2x USB4
For reference, Minisforum has packed all these components inside a housing that weighs 5 kg and measures 199 x 202 x 252 mm. As it stands, the company hopes to begin shipping N5 Pro pre-orders by the end of this month.
