A hexa-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU has managed to achieve a higher score on Geekbench 4’s multi-core test than the quad-core Ice Lake Intel Core i7-1065G7. Although the latter Intel SoC is streets ahead of the Ryzen 4000 processor with its single-core score, its multi-core result of 18,772 points is not quite enough to fend off the Ryzen 5 4500U on 18,819 points.

It looks like Lenovo is clearing stock of its last generation Yoga C930 2-in-1. If you have no use for the improved GPU potential of the Intel 10th gen Ice Lake series, then the 8th gen Kaby Lake-R series will be just fine.

The 768p touchscreen is so bad that tablet mode is rendered almost unusable. This type of display has no right to be on any laptop retailing for this high of a price. Save your $1000 for a HP Envy or Spectre instead.

Lenovo announced two new Chromebooks. The IdeaPad Duet Chromebook is a compact Chrome OS tablet with a detachable keyboard. The IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook is a 360-hinged 2-in-1 that is Project Athena certified. Both Chromebooks will be available in Summer 2020.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus joins a growing list of productivity-focused notebooks with dual or secondary screens. This version has a unique twist in that the added display is an e-ink panel found on the PC's cover. The OEM asserts this will enhance productivity and work-flow for today's multi-tasking professionals.
