MagyarMicrosoft announces a trio of devices with the Surface Headphones 2, Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3
Microsoft has announced a trio of new Surface hardware, the Surface Headphones 2, Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3.
Starting with the new Surface Headphones, Microsoft now offers these in two colours, "Light Gray" and "Matte Black". Compatible with Android, iOS, macOS and Windows 10, the Surface Headphones are rated for up to 20 hours between charges, while a five-minute charge should yield "almost an hour of music". The Surface Headphones 2 has 13 levels of adjustable noise cancellation, too.
As leaks have suggested, Microsoft has upgraded the Surface 2 to a 10.5-inch display with a pixel density of 220 PPI. The device can be configured LTE and up to a Core m3-8100Y processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Marketed as offering up to "64% faster performance" than the original Surface Go, Microsoft also claims that the Surface Go 2 can last up to 10 hours between charges.
Arguably the most exciting of three, the Surface Book 3 will arrive in 13.5-inch and 15-inch versions. Seemingly only available with Ice Lake-U processors, there are quite a few differences between the two models as the table below demonstrates. While both will be available a Core i7-1065G7 processor, Microsoft will offer the 13.5-inch model without a dGPU or with a GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q. Additionally, the 15-inch model will have the option of a GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q or a Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q. Both editions will be available with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage. Microsoft will sell a 2 TB 15-inch model in the US, though.
The Surface Headphones 2 and Surface Go 2 will start shipping on May 12 for US$249 and US$399 respectively. The Surface Book 3, meanwhile, will be released on May 21 for US$1,599.99 and upwards.
