WhatsApp sets a lot of store by the privacy in messaging it supposedly offers. However, allegations that links that invite new users to private groups are searchable online have recently emerged. This is due to the fact Google has indexed them, meaning appropriate terms can bring them up.

Sony will unveil its next flagship tomorrow and the phone's technical spec sheet has surfaced, revealing a device that competes against the Samsung Galaxy S20+ without necessarily losing. Major talking points include the return of a 3.5mm headphone jack, the same main camera sensor as the Galaxy S20 and S20+, 3x optical zoom, and a 4000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy A71 may be a convincing upper-mid range device; however, several leaks suggest Samsung has decided it would be improved with a 5G variant. A leaked render posted by Android Headlines shows off the upcoming LG V60 ThinQ. The flagship phone retains much of the design language from the G8X and V50 ThinQ, including a waterdrop notch and a dedicated Google Assistant button. Other specs are still unknown, though it's almost certain the V60 ThinQ will boast flagship components and 5G capability.

3C spilled the beans about the 5G certification and the inclusion of a 65 W charger, then Xiaomi confirmed the 65 W fast charging feature also revealing that the Black Shark 3 includes a 5,000 mAh battery that can be fully charged in 38 minutes. Other rumored features include a variable refresh rate 2K dynamic display, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an overclocked Snapdragon 865 SoC.

So, Sony has announced its first Xperia smartphone of 2020. Do not get your hopes up, though. The L4 retains the 21:9 display of recent Xperia smartphones, along with the underwhelming 2-year old chipset that powered its predecessor. The Xperia L4 comes with a 720p 6.2-inch notched-display, a 3,580 mAh battery and triple rear-facing cameras.

While the Mi A3 continues its wait for Android 10, its predecessor received its final OS upgrade last month. The upgrade path to Android 10 for the Mi A2 has not proven straightforward though, with it being possible that Xiaomi has pulled the OS upgrade for the second time because of bugs.

DxOMark has now put the OnePlus 7T Pro through its camera test. The phone recorded the exact same overall score as the older OnePlus 7 Pro. That makes sense, of course, seeing as both phones feature essentially the same SoC and identical camera hardware. If cameras are your major concern, there's no point buying the OnePlus 7T Pro over the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Reliance Jio has announced its Rs. 2,121 ($30) plan that gives subscribers 1.5 GB of mobile data per day along other benefits such as 12,000 minutes of talk time for other networks, and access to Jio apps. The announcement comes shortly after rivals Airtel and Vodafone announced their long-term plans.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30, also sold as the POCO X2 in India, offers more than most contemporary mid-range smartphones. The Redmi K30 5G impressed us during our recent review, and now the Redmi K30 Pro 5G has reared its head again. This time on the Compulsory Certification of China (CCC), Xiaomi has certified two models, which are likely to be rocking the Snapdragon 865 and at least 8 GB of RAM.

The upcoming Vivo iQOO 3's specs have been leaked just five days before its February 25th launch. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel that has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 4,400 mAh battery that charges at 55W. Pricing starts at Rs 35,000 (~$490) for the LTE variant and Rs 40,000 ($560) for the 5G version.

Google has made the Developer Preview page for the next version of Android live. This build is now available to download onto certain devices, Pixel phones included. It exhibits changes such as new security measures, privacy safeguards and electronic ID support.

Realme has announced that it will add an Indian event to its date for the X50 Pro debut's live-stream from Madrid, Spain. LG's G7 ThinQ is a flagship phone that is still less than 2 years old; despite this, the OEM is yet to provide it with a stable Android 10 upgrade. DisplayMate has concluded that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's display is "visually indistinguishable from perfect" and has awarded no less than 12 awards to the phone. Currently limited at full HD resolution due to battery life-related concerns, the 120 Hz display refresh might soon become available for the Galaxy S20 lineup since Samsung is reportedly working on a software update that will bring WQHD+ 120 Hz capabilities. A new 5G variant of the Galaxy A71 was recently spotted on Geekbench. Sporting the Exynos 980, Samsung's first 5G-integrated SoC, the Galaxy A71 5G delivered better single and multi-core scores than the vanilla Galaxy A71.

Yesterday, reports of Android 10 hitting the Mi A3 surfaced around the nooks of the Internet. They were fake, sadly. The Mi A3 hasn't received its Android 10 update, but recent developments point towards it being potentially at hand.

House of Marley has released its second-gen TWS earbuds, called the Redemption ANCs. Unlike their predecessors, they resemble Apple AirPods, albeit ones finished in sustainable bamboo. They also have a 4-mic system for voice calls, an IPX4 rating and a case with a USB type C port.

Microsoft has restructured its apps for the Android platform, mainly by combining all of them into one. It is now called Office on the Play Store, and allows access to OneDrive as well as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. However, it is reportedly not optimized for tablets.

Honor has confirmed that the release of the stable EMUI 10 update for the Honor 9X is at hand. Huawei is also sending out the update to the Mate 20 Lite and P30 Lite but the rollout appears to be extremely limited at the moment.

LG may launch a successor for its flagship phablet, the V50 ThinQ, soon. A device with a model number that might conform to this device has appeared on the Geekbench 5 database. It has the Snapdragon 865 and runs Android 10, and has a rather standard 8GB of RAM.

A listing on the Giztop web store (now removed) revealed the full specifications of the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite. While the listing should be taken with a grain of salt, the specs coincide with prior rumors and leaks. Unsurprisingly, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. However, the OnePlus 8 Lite will opt for the MediaTek MTK Dimensity 1000. Other specifications (listed below) are decidedly flagship-level.

Apple will not hit its estimated revenue target for this quarter. Citing supply chain restrictions caused by the coronavirus outbreak and falling demand in China, the Cupertino colossus will pull in lower-than-expected revenue. Apple's stock fell 3% in response.

The Honor 9X Pro, the latest mid-range phone from Huawei's sub-brand Honor, is set for a global launch on February 24. However, due to the continuing trade war between China and the United States, the "global" launch is limited to East Asia and Europe. The phone is a solid mid-range handset.
