Xiaomi has issued another update to the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India, but one that keeps the device on MIUI 11. Called V11.0.10.0.PFHINXM, the update is a 173 MB download and only upgrades the device to the June 2020 set of security patches. Additionally, it means that the Redmi Note 7 Pro remains on Android 9.0 Pie, the same base-layer OS that it launched with in February 2019.
This in contrast to the Chinese edition, which received an Android 10 version of MIUI 11 last month. Xiaomi has hinted that MIUI 12 may reach the Redmi Note 7 Pro by the end of this month, but that only be the case for devices enrolled on the Chinese branch of MIUI. Oddly, Xiaomi has already upgraded the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S to Android 10 in India, while the company also upgraded global models from Android 9.0 Pie earlier this week.
By comparison, Xiaomi has now finished upgrading the Mi 9 to MIUI 12. The company already issued updates to the China, Global and European versions of the Mi 9, and it has now followed with the equivalent update for the Russian model. The inaugural update is called V12.0.1.0.QFARUXM and can be downloaded manually from Xiaomi's servers if your device remains on MIUI 11.
