China Telecom has reportedly listed an as-yet unreleased new OPPO phone on its website. It is apparently to be called the A72 5G, and has an SoC represented by an unfamiliar MediaTek model number. According to some other leaks, however, it may also be a Reno 10X Zoom successor.

The Pocophone F1 and the latest Poco M2 Pro are receiving performance and security updates staring today, but there's no sign of MIUI 12 for these devices yet. Poco F1 is already in Phase 2 of the MIUI 12 beta testing, so the stable bits should arrive sometime in August. Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Indian variant is getting a wider rollout of stable MIUI 12 after having been in beta testing earlier this month.

Xiaomi confirmed a short while ago that it would finally remove the Clean Master app and service from its phones in India, following the ban of the app by the government. The promised update has arrived for the Mi Cleaner app but things may not always be as they seem.

MIUI 12 has arrived for the EU versions of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro and Poco F2 Pro. While the inaugural MIUI 12 update is rolling out to handsets now, there have been multiple reports of the Redmi K20 and Mi 9T handsets failing to upgrade to MIUI 12.

Oppo has launched the world’s fastest smartphone wired and wireless charging systems. Its new wired technology will deliver a 125 W charge while its new wireless charging tech will deliver a 65 W charge. Joining the announcement are a pair of ultra-compact fast charging Super VOOC adapters.

Some alleged Xiaomi Mi 11 renders have started popping up online but fans of the Chinese OEM shouldn’t get too excited about them just yet. Rumored specs for the successor to the Mi 10 include the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, a 192 MP main camera sensor, and an unblemished display thanks to an under-screen camera.

The full design of the OnePlus Nord has been revealed ahead of tomorrow's 24-hour pre-order event for the device. Unveiled in two colours, OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord will have an ultra-wide-angle front-facing camera.

Rumour has it that EMUI 11 and its Honor equivalent, Magic UI 4.0, will be based on HarmonyOS. Also known as Hongmeng OS, HarmonyOS is Huawei's proprietary operating system that it has already brought to several devices. Huawei reportedly plans to bring EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0 to upwards of 50 devices, too.

A potentially game-changing smartphone in the form of the Redmi K30 Ultra is allegedly in the works, and a possible image of the mystery device has been shared by Redmi boss and notorious teaser Lu Weibing. The rumored Redmi K30 Ultra is expected to boast of a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset.

Xiaomi is now sending out new updates to the Mi 10 and Redmi Note 9. The update for the Mi 10 is a MIUI 12 build, while the Redmi Note 9's OTA is based on MIUI 11. This comes after confirmation that Xiaomi is now opening up the pilot program for global beta MIUI 12 testing on the Mi 10 phones in India.

The Xiaomi Vertical Wireless Charging Socket will soon be appearing on the Chinese OEM’s crowdfunding site at an introductory price of just 109 yuan (US$16). The charging accessory can offer 10 W wireless charging and comes with three USB ports. The Vertical Wireless Charging Socket is only available in white though.

Realme has launched the Realme C11 and Realme 30W 10,000mAh Dart Charge Power Bank in India. The phone features a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. Prices start at INR INR 7,499 (US$100) for the Realme C11 and INR 1,999 (US$28) for the Realme 30W Dart Charge Power Bank.

US owners of a number of iPhone 6 series smartphones and iPhone 7 series devices who were affected by the “Batterygate” controversy can now submit a claim via online form or by mail to get their share of Apple’s US$310 million to US$500 million settlement payout pool. Apple still contends that the payout is not an admission of wrongdoing.

Redmi India has confirmed the release date of the Redmi Note 9, the company's next "Made in India" smartphone. Apparently "Packed with best in class specs" and built to the highest quality to "make heads turn", the Redmi Note 9 will launch on July 20 at 12:00 IST.

A Realme Indonesia employee has posted a new teaser that strongly suggests a new phone with a 6000mAh battery will debut in this market soon. Therefore, it may make a worthy successor to a 5- or C-series device in these terms. However, the new potential threat to the Samsung Galaxy M series' might lacks an exact launch date at present.

Prolific leaker Ice Universe just posted a side-by-side comparison of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's camera modules. Based on the shape of the cutouts, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will get an additional laser autofocus sensor.

Xiaomi's poor form with Android One software is well-documented but the latest stunt may be a tough pill for owners of the Mi A3 to swallow. Mi A3 owners across the globe woke up to a new 1.40 GB OTA that appears to have been intended for Mexican models only, and has now disabled dual-SIM functionality on the phones of those unfortunate enough to have installed it.

Analyst Jeff Pu predicts that the upcoming iPhone 12 may start at a US$50 higher base price compared to the iPhone 11 owing to the inclusion of 5G and transition to an OLED display. This price rise is despite the fact that the iPhone 12 is not expected to include EarPods and a wall charger in the box. Further adding to the chagrin of prospective buyers is the fact that the iPhone 12 lineup may sport significantly smaller batteries than the corresponding iPhone 11 variants.

Xiaomi has started issuing MIUI 12 to the EU versions of the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro. The devices, which have already received the OS upgrade in other regions, have been included in Round 1 of Xiaomi's MIUI 12 release schedule. Other devices that have been upgraded to MIUI 12 in multiple regions include the Mi 9, Mi 9T and the Redmi K20.

Vivo-owned iQOO just unveiled its FlashCharge technology that allows smartphone batteries to be charged at 120W. It takes only five minutes to charge a 4,000mAh battery from zero to fifty percent and fifteen minutes to top it up entirely. It is unclear how long we have to wait before the tech makes its way to an iQOO smartphone.

Xiaomi is looking for more pilot testers to receive MIUI 12 Global Stable Beta updates. The company has already selected the candidates to test MIUI 12 on the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Poco F1, and now it is recruiting people to test the OS update on the Mi 10. Xiaomi will accept applications until July 16.

Oppo is set to bring 125 W fast charging to its smartphones in the near future. The company has teased an announcement on July 15 that will reveal more about its plans and launch timeline.

The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8T may get the official MIUI 12 update some time in August, according to a reply from the Xiaomi Device Team to a query posted on the Mi Community forums. With regards to the Redmi Note 8 Pro, several global units have started receiving stable MIUI 12. A mysterious Realme 5G smartphone has been leaked online by a noted tipster. The device appears in an image that only reveals a couple of secrets, including the apparent need to solve current issues with 5G smartphones, which could be battery life or heat development. The Realme smartphone appears to have a slightly curved screen.

@Vivo_India tweeted the launch date for Vivo’s X50 series. The Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro will both arrive on July 16th. The Pro will feature an innovative gimbal camera for capturing video. However, high pricing and the midrange Snapdragon 765G make the value proposition questionable.

A new leak has given us a better idea of what the Google Pixel 5 may look like. The square camera module from the Pixel 4 makes a re-appearance, as well as the rear capacitive fingerprint reader from the Pixel 3. There also appears to be only two rear cameras.

Foxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturing giant is said to be investing US$1 billion into their iPhone production plant in India. Foxconn has factories right around the world, but India is currently the only location outside of China where they assemble iPhones.

While the Redmi Y2/S2 is slated to receive the official MIUI 12 update later this year, those who are eager to try out the latest features can now do so thanks to a custom ROM released by the Xiaomi.eu team. A new Xiaomi patent has been discovered that details an innovative new design for a 5G smartphone. There is just a single camera on this Xiaomi device, but it is a 108 MP monster “super camera”. The patent also shows the transparent Xiaomi smartphone with a wraparound display.

In a shock, a possibility has emerged that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra models could continue to be powered by Samsung’s underwhelming Exynos 990 in markets outside the USA and China. XDA’s Max Weinbach and Samsung insider @Universeice have indicated that this could be possible with Winebach confirming he has seen no references in the Samsung’s source code to any Exynos 992 variant making its way into either device.

New information has surfaced, indicating that Google is working on an entirely new phone that will be called the Pixel 4A 5G, with codename "Bramble". This, of course, opens up the possibility of the Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5G both using the same SoC.

Details of the upcoming Realme 6i for the Indian market have been accidentally leaked on Flipkart. Fortunately, a tipster managed to screenshot the information before it was taken down. It seems the Realme 6i will sport a MediaTek Helio G90T processor and an affordable price tag to help it take on the soon to be released Redmi Note 9.

Lenovo's first gaming phone has been implicated in a Geekbench leak before. Now, this has happened again - although this time, the purported device in question has double the RAM compared to before. Its specs point to the Snapdragon 865, although it is now thought to have the Plus variant of this SoC.

Xiaomi's flagship phones are already on their way to Android 11 but things aren't quite as cosy on the lower-end of the hierarchy. The Mi Mix 2S, for example, has been said not to receive the update. The Redmi 8A is another phone with slim prospects, too.

An MIIT listing has confirmed that Xiaomi has another 5G smartphone in development. Assigned the model number M2007J1SC, the device is purported to be a flagship by a reputable tipster.

New Android 11 builds have arrived for the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. The builds are available to download now, although they are both in beta.
