Lenovo Legion 2 Pro: Dual-fan gaming smartphone to launch on April 8
Lenovo has officially announced the launch date for the Legion 2 Pro, its next gaming smartphone. On Weibo, the company has confirmed that the device will arrive on April 8, undoubtedly making it a competitor for the ASUS ROG Phone 5 and Xiaomi Black Shark 4 series.
Lenovo has billed the Legion 2 Pro as, machine translated from Chinese, 'heroes come out at the end, because heroes come out to solve problems that no one else can solve'. Naturally, it remains to be seen if Lenovo will bring something truly innovative to market with the Legion 2 Pro, or if this is just marketing speak.
We do know that the Legion 2 Pro will be an actively cooled smartphone though, courtesy of two small fans. This may be a wise move, in our opinion, as the Snapdragon 888 that will be powering it tends to run hot. Lenovo is expected to pair the Legion 2 Pro with at least 16 GB of RAM, as a Geekbench listing showed earlier this month.
