We've been hearing that the i9-10900K needs really good water cooling solutions, so the inclusion of suck chips inside Origin PC's latest EON17-X and NS-17 models is quite the bold endeavor. The powerful CPUs can be coupled with a desktop-grade RTX 2080 Super GPU and up to 64 GB of DDR-3200 RAM, if you have some more money to spare.

Dell has been updating some of its country-specific online stores with refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 series laptops. The Dell Inspiron 15 7501 has attractive configuration options that include Intel Comet Lake SoCs and Nvidia GeForce GTX 16-series dGPUs. However, those hoping to find an AMD Ryzen 4000 APU in this particular laptop will be disappointed.

Gaming laptops with good battery life are rare. Notebooks with mechanical keyboards are even rarer. The Gigabyte Aorus 17G manages to merge both elements in a single chassis.

Unlike the GPD Win Max models that come with Intel Ice Lake CPUs, One-Netbook's One-GX1 mini laptops are supposed to be powered by Tiger Lake-Y CPUs, but these chips do not have a clear release date as of now, so, even though the One-GX1 is scheduled to go up for pre-orders on May 30, we might not get to see it in action until late Q3 at best.

3DMark has confirmed that Xiaomi will be offering the RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14S, and RedmiBook 16 with an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor. Also available with the Ryzen 5 4500U, all models will come with at least 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.

The updated specs allow transfer speeds of up to 4 GB/s, which is essentially half of what computer PCIe NVMe SSDs can achieve, since the SD cards are only limited to X2 lanes instead of X4. Nevertheless, with the new version, upcoming SD Express and microSD Express cards can easily handle 4K and 8K video recording without compression.

The latest device from Dell to feature new AMD Ryzen 4000 APUs is the Inspiron 14 7000 2-in-1 laptop. The convertible can be configured with either a Ryzen 5 4500U or Ryzen 7 4700U processor. Although the prices for the Ryzen 4000 laptops are lower, the more-expensive 13-inch Intel variants offer more RAM and more powerful batteries.

A number of annual conferences and showcases have had to either shut down or move online from their traditional real-world venues in 2020. IFA has just announced that its own flagship expo is not to be among them. However, due to the new Covid-19-related restrictions, its structure and schedule has changed considerably.

Dells 2020 Precision lineup is here and it is a big one: Dell is not only upgrading its mobile workstation laptops with the latest processors, it's also fundamentally redesigning many of the models. That includes the thin Dell Precision 5550 – and the brand new Dell Precision 5750, the first ultra-thin-bezel workstation with a 17 inch screen from Dell.

Dell has integrated a new form of potentially workflow-aiding AI into some of its new PCs. Known as the "Optimizer", it confers features such as Express Sign-In, Intelligent Audio and Express Response. They allow for next-gen behaviors such as an auto-lock as soon as the user walks away.

The traditional Dell Precision mobile workstation line receives a big refresh this year, as both the Dell Precision 15 7550 and Dell Precision 17 7750 feature completely reworked designs. The new Dell Precision 3550 and 3551 share a design, but not the internals - one of them is based on Comet Lake U CPUs, the other uses Comet Lake H series processors from Intel. Both models are optionally available with a pointing stick, which makes them unique among this year's Dell Precision workstations: Dell has stopped offering this feature on the more expensive Precision 7000 series.

Honor has announced a refresh of the MagicBook Pro, its MacBook Pro 16-inspired 16.1-inch laptop. Featuring up to an Intel Core i7-10510U processor, 16 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU, Honor has not announced any AMD Ryzen 4000H series options at launch.

PassMark has updated its CPU Mark performance chart for new laptop processors and AMD has claimed seven out of the top 10 places with APUs from the highly regarded Ryzen 4000 Renoir family. The top four positions are also owned by Team Red, with the Ryzen 9 4900HS and Ryzen 7 4800H mobile APUs leading the board.

A 3DMark listing of an unnamed Jasper Lake part has surfaced online. Jasper Lake-based Pentium and Celeron SKUs are touted to be based on the Intel 10nm Tremont architecture and may also feature Gen11 integrated graphics, which is a significant step up from the current Gen9.5 iGPU in Gemini Lake.

If you're looking for a super-light Core i7-1065G7 laptop, then the LG Gram 14 would be tough to beat. If you're looking for good Core i7-1065G7 performance, however, then almost any other laptop with the same CPU would outperform the LG.

You do not always have to pay a 4 digit sum for a good laptop. The Honor MagicBook for just 599 Euros offers a very good overall package with modern and fast components, a decent display, and a nice metal chassis.

Crowdfunding for the GPD Win Max handheld game console has started on Indiegogo and the campaign has already managed over 3,000% of its flexible goal in less than a day. The powerful mini laptop is capable of playing AAA games and features a built-in Xbox 360 controller, an Ice Lake i5-1035G7 processor, and it has a Thunderbolt 3 port.

Apple's 2020 MacBook Air is the first Air with optional quad-core processors, which should increase the performance significantly, at least in theory. However, the entry-level SKU with the Core i3 CPU for $999 is often the better choice for everyday tasks.

A retailer has seemingly confirmed the specifications of the Honor MagicBook Pro 2020. Sporting up to a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD, Honor will seemingly announce the 16.1-inch device tomorrow. There is a conspicuous lack of AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir options, though.

There are some great Microsoft Surface device deals to be had at the moment, especially if you are in the hunt for either a Surface Pro or Surface Laptop. There is up to US$400 off the Surface Pro 6, and you can save well over US$300 on some bundle deals, such as the Surface Laptop 3 Essentials Bundle with Microsoft 365 and 2-year extended warranty.

A benchmark listing spotted by tipster @_rogame indicates that premium Tiger Lake U chips will run as high as 2.8 GHz. Whether that's enough to bridge the gap with the eight-core sixteen-thread Ryzen 7 4800U, though, remains to be seen.

The Matrix RP-15 and RP-17 are Eluktronics' latest notebooks, which set themselves apart with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H APUs. They are also slated to have 144 hertz (Hz) displays and what this brand calls "Covert Design". These new PCs' graphics will be handled by "full performance" GeForce RTX 2060 cards.

On the positive side, the HP 17-by2437ng offers a Core-i3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. In addition, the notebook belongs to a dying breed that still has an optical drive on board. A Windows operating system is not included.

The OLED version of the Gigabyte Aero 15 fights its way into the top 3 of the light and compact gaming laptops. The device is also very interesting for creators.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 and ThinkBook 15 are now shipping with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 for US$1,000. Configurable with the Core i5-1035G1 too, both laptops come with up to 16 GB of RAM. Renoir versions of the ThinkBook 14s are due too, with up to a Ryzen 7 4800U available.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus is now shipping for US$1,299. Equipped with a 45 Wh battery, the ThinkBook Plus has an Intel Core i5-10210U Comet Lake processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. The star of the show is the device's 10.8-inch secondary display though, which is both e-ink and a touchscreen.

Huawei's Macbook alternatives are back with upgraded Comet Lake-H CPUs up to a Core i7-10510U, up to 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB or 1 TB NVMe SSD storage and excellent 3:2 displays. Unfortunately, Huawei chose not to upgrade the GeForce MX250 dGPUs.

The Honor MagicBook 14 comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Building on the MateBook D 14, the MagicBook 14 adds a touch of colour and style for just £549.99 in the UK.

There are some advantages and disadvantages to each option with some being obvious and others not so obvious. We go over each one here to help potential buyers make their decision.

In the shadows of the ThinkPad T series and the ThinkPad X1 Extreme, Lenovo sells the ThinkPad P43s and ThinkPad P53s workstations with more power efficient CPUs. Lenovo is updating this series now with Comet-Lake and the new naming-scheme – accordingly, the new models are named Lenovo ThinkPad P14s and ThinkPad P15s.

Intel has announced the vPro variants of Comet Lake processors across mobile, desktop, and workstation. The new vPro processors offer enhanced Hardware Shield security features, a modern lifecycle management, and will even be available in Project Athena-based designs. The intriguing aspect, however, is the inclusion of K-series unlocked processors that are capable of overclocking, whose exact purpose in a business environment seems unclear at the moment.

Dell is now making the G5 15 laptop available at prices starting from US$829.99. The G5 15 can be availed in Intel and AMD options. While the AMD-based Dell G5 15 SE 5505 has the distinction of being the first Ryzen 4000 + Navi 10 combination, the Intel SKUs offer more customizability in terms of GPU options, chassis lighting, and faster Ethernet.
