Valve’s Steam Deck has been revealed and unsurprisingly the ultra-portable gaming PC and console hybrid has already been frequently compared with the Nintendo Switch (OLED model). However, while the Steam Deck is preposterously more powerful than the new Switch, it won’t stop Nintendo having a huge hit on its hands when the Switch Pro/Switch 2 finally emerges.

Tipster @UniverseIce recently claimed on Weibo that Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2200 SoC would feature a six-core RDNA2 implementation. To put this into perspective, the upcoming Steam Deck, capable of playing AAA PC games, features 8-core RDNA2 graphics. This means that Exynos 2200 powered devices could potentially deliver experiences on par with current-gen consoles.

Valve has launched the Steam Deck, a fully-fledged handheld gaming PC. The device features an AMD Zen 2 and RDNA 2-based APU that delivers 1.6 teraflops of graphics processing power.

Multiple sources have confirmed that AMD's next-generation Zen 4 processors will limit the core count to 16 on the top model (Ryzen 9 6950X), which has a maximum TDP of 170W. The remaining SKUs are said to be rated at 120W, 105W, 95W and 65W.

According to rumours, AMD plans to refresh its Threadripper series next month, thereby replacing current Threadripper 3000 SKUs. Threadripper 5000 processors will take their place, with up to 64 cores based on AMD's Zen 3 architecture. The workstation processors will support quad-channel RAM and a TDP of up to 280 W.

Tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA spotted an Intel filing on the SATA-IO website highlighting PCH compliance for both Alder Lake and 13th-gen Raptor Lake parts. This is one of the earliest appearances of Intel’s post-Alder Lake platform, and likely the first alongside Alder Lake.

AMD has now confirmed that the 4700S Desktop Kit will be coming to 80+ designs in the coming days. The AMD 4700S is an SoC that is pretty much similar to the one found in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but comes with the RDNA 2 iGPU disabled. AMD is pitched the 4700S Desktop Kit primarily for productivity and light 3D workflows.

MSI is adding a new Delta series with slim and light design that can be equipped with a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and a Radeon 6700M GPU, while also introducing a redesigned Alpha series with improved cooling and processor options up to a Ryzen 7 5800H complemented by a Radeon RX 6600M GPU.

Everyone saw the GPU dump coming, as the Ethereum Proof of Stake plan was set into motion two years ago, but Chinese cryptominers are forced to dump their GPUs earlier, since the local government is cracking down hard on any cryptomining activities. PowerColor has done AMD's work for it. While AMD is yet to reveal the Radeon RX 6600 series, PowerColor's website reflects that both the RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT are on the horizon. AMD teased that it would announce the RX 6600 series by June 2021 at the latest.

Zen 4 is rumored to launch in late 2022, so later this year and in early 2022 we will be getting only refreshed Zen 3+ models. According to a new leak, the first products to integrate the 6 nm Zen 3+ tech will not be the desktop models with V-Cache or the Rembrandt chips for laptops, but the Ryzen embedded V3000 launching in late 2021. These processors will feature support for USB4, DDR5-4800 RAM, and will have a maximum 35-54 W TDP with integrated RDNA2 iGPU.

The deal will supposedly last only until the end of Tuesday as a response to Amazon Prime Day. Though the specifications are superb for the sale price, the low 8 GB of RAM may still be a deal breaker for many.

AMD quietly released its liquid-cooled RX 6900XT LC to Indian system integrators. Some resellers appear to have 6900 XT LC stock which they’re selling without a system for an incredible US$3007.

AMD's mobile Radeon mRDNA 2 graphics is reportedly a bit faster than the upcoming ARM Mali GPU in peak performance, and the performance is higher than the latest Mali GPU even if subjected to a 30% performance drop under throttling. Samsung and AMD will likely unveil the new SoC in July. We are also hearing that Google has also signed the contract with AMD for mRDNA 2.
