Beelink GTR5: Mini-PC launches with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX from US$619
Beelink has released another mini-PC, and one with a high-end AMD Ryzen APU. The GTR5 runs on the Ryzen 9 5900HX, a Zen 3 APU with eight multithreaded cores and an RX Vega 8 iGPU. The Ryzen 9 5900HX can turbo boost to 4.7 GHz where needed using its 45 W TDP, too.
The GTR5 also has two SODIMM slots that accept DDR4 RAM and dual M.2 2280 slots for SATA III and NVMe SSDs. For reference, the mini-PC supports up to 64 GB of RAM running at 3,200 MHz. Additionally, the machine has a 2.5-inch drive bay should prefer to use a larger drive for whatever reason.
As the photo below shows, the GTR5 has plenty of ports too, including dual video outputs and multiple USB ports. Moreover, Beelink has integrated a fingerprint sensor, which could be used for authentication in apps or when booting and unlocking your device.
Currently, Beelink offers the GTR5 through Indiegogo and its website. The mini-PC starts at US$619 as a barebones kit and US$699 if you want RAM and storage. Beelink sells the GTR5 with up to 64 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD for US$949 too; there are no Indiegogo-related discounts, though.
