Beelink GTI 11 mini PC hits Intel NUC where it hurts: Price
There's no denying that the Intel NUC is one of the most recognizable names when it comes mini PCs. With recognition comes high prices, however, as an Intel NUC can also be more expensive than its competitors. Users looking for a cheaper alternative to the new NUC 11 may want to consider the latest Beelink GTI 11 instead.
As of this writing, Amazon is offering the Intel NUC 11PAHi5 as a barebones kit for $559 USD without any RAM, storage, or operating system. Meanwhile, the Beelink GTI 11 with the exact same CPU can be found on the same website for $699 (or $659 USD after applying the coupon or even $610 on Banggood.com). The GTI 11 includes 16 GB of RAM, a 500 GB PCIe3 x4 NVMe SSD, and Windows 10 to be ready out-of-the-box.
If attempting to match the specifications of the Beelink with the Intel NUC, users would need to purchase 16 GB of DDR4-3200 SODIMM RAM (~$50 USD), a 500 GB PCIe3 x4 NVMe SSD (~70 USD), and a Windows 10 Pro license (~$120 USD). The final tally for the NUC 11 would be about $800 USD or over $100 more than the Beelink equivalent.
Now, there are still many reasons to prefer the NUC over the GTI as our review here demonstrates. Some users may also already have extra RAM, storage, and a copy of Windows 10 Pro ready to go and so the Beelink model may look less attractive. If you want to save a good chunk of money on an alternative mini PC with similar specifications, however, then the Beelink is currently looking like your best bet.
