The trailer of F1 2019 — the official videogame of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship — is now live. A large electronics retailer has apparently accidentally revealed two new SKUs for Microsoft’s popular Surface range. The models involved are variants of the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Book 2. It appears the Redmond-based tech giant has decided to allow consumers the opportunity to combine i5 processors with a larger amount of RAM.

The ToyBrick RK3399 Pro is a developer board that is powered by an RK399Pro SoC, which integrates an ARM Mali-T860MP4 GPU and an RK1808 NPU that can achieve up to 3.0 TOPS. The board can dual-boot Android and Linux out of the box and comes with up to 6 GB RAM and 32 GB of eMMC flash storage.

The Chuwi MiniBook will come in two versions, the most powerful of which will feature an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, 8 GB LPDRR4 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. Chuwi will reportedly bring the ultra-mobile PC to crowdfunding platform Indiegogo on June 19.

A flaw in Intel's modern CPU architectures can be used in a new attack. Dubbed "ZombieLoad," the vulnerability is similar to the Spectre and Meltdown bugs that haunted the PC market last year. ZombieLoad uses a similar flaw in Intel CPUs' speculative execution processes to access and leak data, including passwords, keys, and sensitive data.

Lenovo has revealed what it is calling the “world’s first foldable PC” at its Accelerate 19 conference in Orlando, Florida. Currently in prototype, the device may form part of Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 family should the Chinese PC maker decide to eventually launch it as a shipping product.

Microsoft has unveiled ElectionGuard, a software development kit (SDK) intended to make e-voting technology more secure. This open-source, encryption-enabled kit is intended to improve the polling systems to which it is applied. It will become available to polling officials via GitHub from the summer of 2019.

The video game John Wick Hex has appeared in an interesting announcement trailer that gives gamers a brief insight into what the title holds for the grizzled hitman. The strategy game is being created by Bithell Games in collaboration with Good Shepherd Entertainment and Lionsgate. John Wick Hex will initially be available for the PC and Mac.

Microsoft has revealed some of its upcoming plans for the new Chromium-based Edge browser at Build 2019. Future builds of the new Edge browser will offer a Collections pane to neatly organize and export research, a new user-friendly privacy dashboard, a built-in IE mode, and improved developer tools for working with WebView and PWAs. These features are yet to make their way to public builds, but users can try out existing builds from the Dev and Canary channels to get a feel of the new browser.

At the Build 2019 developer conference that kicked off today, Microsoft announced that it will soon introduce a Windows Terminal app that consolidates all command line interfaces including PowerShell, Command Prompt, and WSL into a single interface that supports tabbed views, GPU acceleration, and emojis. A new device from the manufacturer of the Topjoy Falcon pocket notebook has been spotted at the 2019 Global Sources Electronics Fair. The apparent second-generation Topjoy Falcon has received an Amber Lake-Y upgrade to its predecessor’s Gemini Lake N5000 CPU, which will help it compete against rival mini-laptops such as the upcoming GPD Pocket 2 Max.

The new ThinkBook S models may replace the 13 and 14-inch Ideapad S-series models, at least in China. They appear to have updated designs with improved metal chassis, slim lateral bezels and displays that can unfold flat on the table, while the specs include Intel Core i7-8565U CPUs, up to 16 HB RAM and up to 512 GB NVMe SSDs. The more expensive variants may integrate discrete AMD Radeon 540X GPUs.
