The CTA announces several CES 2020 award winners and honorees early
The CTA has already declared some OEMs winners or honorees in relation to the CES Innovation Awards for next year. They include Targus, which has won one of these gongs in the Computer Peripherals category for its MiraLogic Workspace Intelligence System, an internet-of-things (IoT)-connected dock.
House of Marley is a Sustainability, Eco-design & Smart Energy honoree for its environmentally-conscious Liberate Air truly wireless earbuds. This marks the second year running of nomination in the category for this audio company.
Numerous PC and mobile OEMs are also included in these preliminary CES victories. A Best of Innovation Award has gone to the OnePlus 7 Pro. LG has also won Innovation Awards in this category for the G8X ThinQ, presumably for its unique Dual Screen accessory. It has also gathered similar recognition for the 5G V50 ThinQ and the G8 ThinQ.
This OEM has also been given the 2020 CES Best of Innovation Award in the video display category. There are also 2 CES Innovation Awards for its upcoming NEXTGEN TV. These devices are OLED TVs that incorporate the new ATSC 3.0 standard; LG's version will be one of the industry's first in 2020.
Acer is a CES 2020 Innovation Award Honoree for 3 devices: the C250i projector, the Swift 5 notebook and a heretofore-unknown mobile PC. This device will, according to the OEM, be pitched at "professional digital creators", and may thus be a new NVIDIA Studio product or something along those lines. It is set for launch in Jan 2020.
