To the surprise of no one, going for the thinner and lighter GS66 with GeForce RTX 3070 graphics will mean accepting a cut in performance when compared to the thicker GP66 equipped with the same GPU.

With Intel 11th gen right around the corner, these 10th gen models will need to go. MSI is cutting 12 percent to 27 percent off MSRP depending on the model all equipped with Comet Lake Core U-series or H-series CPUs.

The ASUS TUF Dash F15 has been listed on Amazon Italy with an Nvidia RTX 3050 mobile graphics card with 4GB of VRAM. It is coupled with an Intel Core i5-10300H processor, a 15.6-inch FHD 1080p 144Hz screen, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Legion C7 can run all current titles smoothly at 1080p. It comes with the Core i7-10875H, RTX 2070 Max-Q, 32 GB of dual-channel RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, and a Thunderbolt 3 port. What is so special about it is that it never becomes too hot or too loud.

HP's latest gaming laptop is a significant improvement over the older Omen 15 model. For just over $1000 USD, this is a well-rounded deal save for the measly 8 GB of system RAM that's thankfully user upgradeable.

An eagle-eyed Facebook user has photographed what appears to be a mother lode of MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X OC graphics cards. An entire pallet of said hardware is en route to the U.S., where it is expected to hit shelves after its tentative launch sometime in mid-May.

Nvidia is reportedly working on a new GeForce RTX 3060 variant with enhanced anti-crypto protections. It will use a new GA106-302 GPU which will require completely new drivers. The new RTX 3060 variant is expected to hit shelves in May 2021.

NVIDIA's CFO Colette Kress has spoken out about the ongoing graphics card shortage again. Apparently, demand is expected to outstrip supply for 'most of the year', which is another way of saying that there will be no GPUs at MSRP until next year.

The new JiangXing X15 budget gaming laptop from Colorful comes with i5-10300H and i7-10870H processor options, which can be coupled with 8 or 16 GB of RAM (upgradable to 32 GB) and 512 GB SSD storage, plus an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti dGPU. Even though these are sub-$1,000 models, Colorful still included high-quality 15.6-inch 1080p IPS displays with 144 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage.

The same 12-liter chassis from previous Corsair One mini ITX models can now be equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X or Intel Core i9-11900K, plus a desktop-grade RTX 3080 GPU. The systems also include 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 1 TB NVMe + 2 TB HDD storage combo and quad video outputs. The Intel models come with a Thunderbolt 3 port.

Acer is now offering select configurations of its refreshed Nitro 5 lineup in India. The Nitro 5 will be available in both Intel and AMD flavors. The Intel SKUs feature a Core i5-11300H with GTX 1650 graphics while the AMD variants are powered by a Ryzen 5 5600H with a choice of either the RTX 3060 or the GTX 1650. Unfortunately, the higher spec options in the global variants are not yet available for the Indian market.

Alternatively, users can spend $50 more for the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti version for roughly 10 percent faster graphics performance. The IdeaPad 3 is one of the least expensive gaming laptops you can get with a 120 Hz display.

The 2021 Inspiron 13 / 14 / 15 Intel laptops feature the Core i5-11300H and i7-11370H CPU options, up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, Intel Optane Memory H20 modules (only for the 13-inch model), up to 2 TB of NVMe SSD storage, Nvidia's MX450 dGPUs and up to 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors.

MediaTek and Nvidia have announced a new partnership that will see the former’s Arm-based CPUs married with the latter’s GPUs. It will see Nvidia’s RTX graphics joined with Arm-based PCs and laptops, including Chromebooks, for the first time, substantially increasing their graphics performance.

GPU virtualization or vGPU enables GPU resources to be shared by multiple VMs or remote machines and is traditionally restricted to certain datacenter and high-end Quadro cards. Now, a relatively simple mod has appeared on GitHub that enables vGPU functionality even on consumer NVIDIA GPUs on a Linux host as long as they are based on the same physical GPU as a vGPU-compatible Tesla card.

Various models of the upcoming Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 laptop have been popping up on a number of retailer sites around the world. The Zephyrus M16, which is a 16-inch laptop with a 16:10 display, will be fitted with Intel’s Tiger Lake 11th Gen CPUs and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 30 series dGPUs. Prices currently reach as high as €2,699 (US$3,209).

The exterior of the Alienware m15 R4 remains unchanged compared to the predecessors, but it reveals new strengths on the inside. While performance is beyond reproach, old weaknesses are also present.

On top of that, at least two models of the novel 16-inch Asus ROG Zephyrus appear to be in the pipeline, with a specs leak revealing an Intel Core i9-11900H CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU as headliners.

The inclusion of the RTX 3070 Max-Q mobile dGPU seems to be suggesting that Razer's thin and light chassis on the upcoming AMD-powered 14-inch models only allow for lower-TGP dGPU options. Can Razer also add an RTX 3080 Max-Q and are these options really making sense for such price premiums when Lenovo is offering the Max-P versions on the Legion 5 Pro and Legion 7 with superior price/performance ratios?

We can confirm that NVIDIA plans to release the GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti in multiple configurations. The GeForce RTX 3050 series will replace NVIDIA's GTX 16 series, but early benchmarks show the RTX 3050 Ti outperforming even the RTX 2060 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Besides storing more high-res textures and boosting the ray tracing performance, the 16 GB mod can also help improve framerate stability. Some games like Watch Dogs Legion can be less stuttery on the 16 GB mod, as the 0.1% Low and 1% Low framerates see considerable improvements, but other games like Godfall do not seem to take advantage of the increased RAM capacity and even perform slightly slower.

The 2021 Ultra 17 models from XMG pack up to an i9-11900K 8-core / 16-thread CPU, which can be coupled with up to 128 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and 32 TB NVMe SSD storage. Users can choose among max TGP versions for the RTX 3060 / 3070 / 3080 mobile dGPUs that take full advantage of 16 PCIe 4.0 lanes. Screen options include 300 Hz FHD and 60 Hz 4K IPS panels and among the ports we find 2x Thunderbolt 4 connectors plus an HDMI 2.1 video output.

Major GPU OEM Colorful seems to have entirely omitted download links for Resize BAR BIOS updates on its technical support page. This leaves Colorful graphics card owners with no way to enable the feature, at least until the OEM fixes those broken links.

Gigabyte has registered new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti SKUs with the EEC, following NVIDIA's GPU and VRAM changes. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is expected to arrive in May with 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM, but it seems that Gigabyte has its eyes set on releasing a CMP 30HX crypto mining card, too.

A TechTuber has offered up some staggering guesses for the potential performance of future M1 Apple Silicon SoCs. With an M1Z chip defeating a Ryzen Threadripper 3990X in Geekbench multi-core and an M1P part surpassing a GeForce RTX 3080 in OpenCL, it seems AMD and Nvidia will also be joining Intel in facing the Apple SoC threat.

The South Korean hardware manufacturer EmTek has released unusual-looking graphics cards before, but the GeForce RTX 3060 MIRACLE will take some beating. While its dual fan design is regular for a GeForce RTX 3060, its honeycomb and bee-inspired design is more playful than many contemporary graphics cards. It remains to be seen how useful obscuring one intake fan will be, though.

ASUS has unveiled the GeForce RTX 3060 Phoenix, a tiny GA106-based card that has one fan. The RTX 3060 Phoenix is just 177 mm long, but it is a 2.5-slot card being 51 mm wide.

File transfers are almost an order of magnitude faster on the new GE76 when compared to the older GE75. If you rely on SD cards for your daily workloads, then you may want to skip the GE75 or GE65.

A discovery by a Hardwareluxx forum member seems to indicate that NVIDIA might have scrapped plans for using the GA102-250 in the RTX 3080 TI and, instead, repurpose it as GA102-300 for the RTX 3090. This still leaves the possibility of a GA102-225 with 12 GB GDDR6X VRAM launching as the RTX 3080 Ti some time in May.

The Dell G15 5515 will launch with at least an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, according to a 3DMark listing. The 115 W GPU will be available with 16 GB of RAM and a fast 1TB SSD, too.

Dell is throwing in a year of onsite or in-home repair service at no additional cost. The Alienware m15 R4 is the newest gaming laptop from Dell and not some older configuration on clearance.

We learned earlier that there was a Razer laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 in the works. It has made its first appearance on the 3D Mark Time Spy database as the Razer PI411. This particular variant appears to have 16GB of RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

NVIDIA is currently working on the GeForce RTX 3050, a new mid-range dedicated GPU that should provide thin and light laptops with more graphics performance than an AMD or Intel iGPU could. NVIDIA is yet to announce the GeForce RTX 3050, but a new leak has provided more details about it.

The RTX 2060 dGPU is still a good mid-range mobile dGPU, especially now that Gateway and Walmart are offering laptops that integrate it for only US$799. This deal also includes a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with 120 Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i5-10300H CPU, plus 8 GB DDR4-3200 and 256 GB SSD storage that can be easily upgradable.

According to a new rumour, NVIDIA plans to release two GeForce RTX 3070 Ti cards in May, both with GDDR6X VRAM. Apparently, NVIDIA has developed 8 GB and 16 GB SKUs that can reach 21 Gbps. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is expected to launch in May with NVIDIA's GA104-400 GPU.

Of course Lenovo places the ThinkBook series below its ThinkPads, but as a business laptop, the ThinkBook 15p offers surprisingly few and aged connection options. At the same time, at around $1600 Euros (~$1910), the device isn't really cheap. But at least it also bests the ThinkBook with one feature.

MSI has confirmed that it plans to increase the price of its graphics cards at a recent investor meeting. The company hasn't specified which GPUs will be subject to the price hike, but we can reasonably assume that the entirety of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series will be affected.
