HP OMEN 17 refresh stars on Geekbench with an Intel Core i9-11900H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and 32 GB of RAM
HP has already refreshed the OMEN 15 this year, and Geekbench listings suggest that it has turned its hand to the larger OMEN 17. Currently, HP sells the OMEN 17 with Comet Lake-H processors and GeForce RTX 20 series GPUs or a GTX 1660 Ti for entry-level SKUs. However, it seems that these models could soon be replaced by ones with Tiger Lake-H45 processors.
Only two listings have appeared so far, both with the Core i9-11900H, an eight-core processor that has leaked several times already. According to Geekbench, HP has called its new 17.3-inch laptop the OMEN 17-ck0xxx, with the 'x' changing depending on what model you choose.
Additionally, a separate Geekbench listing confirms that HP will sell the new OMEN 17 with RTX 30 series GPUs. It is unclear how many RTX 30 GPUs HP plans to offer with the OMEN 17-ck0xxx, but at least the GeForce RTX 3070 will be available, and with a Core i9-11900H CPU. Moreover, this model has 32 GB of DDR4 RAM running in dual-channel mode.
There have been no leaks regarding the new OMEN 17's release date. The appearance of the OMEN 17-ck0xxx on Geekbench suggests that HP is within a month or two of announcing the new laptop though, in our opinion.
