HP OMEN 15z tipped to launch in Europe with AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs

The HP OMEN 15z has been available in the US for some time, but HP continues to sell the older Ryzen 4000 and RTX 20 series models in Europe and the UK. According to TechnikNews, the OMEN 15z is making its way to Europe, although the website is unsure when.

To recap, the OMEN 15z features Ryzen 5000 processors and RTX 30 series GPUs. HP sells multiple configurations in the US, ranging from the Ryzen 5 5600H and the RTX 3060 to the Ryzen 9 5900HX and RTX 3070, although these seem to come and go on its website. TechnikNews states that HP will sell the OMEN 15z with a Ryzen 7 5800H and an RTX 3060 in Europe, but it remains to be seen if that will be the only CPU and GPU configuration that the company will offer.

Nonetheless, all models have a 15.6-inch display that runs natively at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The IPS panel operates at up to 144 Hz and 300 nits, which should be enough for most gamers. HP covers the display in a matte coating to minimise reflections, too.

We were fans of last year's model, although its keyboard layout will take some acclimatisation. The Omen 15z also has a 70.9 Wh battery and plenty of ports, making it suitable for work or school too, in our opinion.
