The budget HP gaming laptop is currently on sale through the official HP online store. In order to see the price point, users must select the Ghost White color, 144 Hz 1080p IPS display, 256 GB NVMe SSD, and Wi-Fi 6 AX200 options before checkout. Its Ryzen 5 5600H CPU and GeForce GTX 1650 graphics won't blow any minds, but performance will still be respectable relative to the price.
The main drawbacks to the deal are its limited 8 GB of RAM and low 256 GB of storage especially for a gaming laptop. Users can always configure 4 GB of extra RAM or double the SSD storage for an additional $40 and $70, respectively. Alternatively, users can simply add more RAM and storage themselves to save even more.
In our full review of the laptop, we praised it for its great display and performance relative to other budget laptops which typically use cheaper IPS panels. However, we also criticized its fragile chassis design. In fact, the chassis is already outdated as its 15.6-inch form factor has been succeeded by the latest 16.1-inch option.
