Enterprising modders have figured out a way to extend the Resident Evil Village demo's 1-hour timer on PC. It is important to note here that this mod doesn't unlock any additional content in the demos. However, it will allow players to take in the "Village" and "Castle" demo scenes that Capcom made available prior to Resident Evil Village's May 6th launch.
The tweak makes use of Steam Achievement Manager, a third-party tool that's used to enable Steam achievements without actually earning them in-game. Resident Evil Village's 1-hour timer is apparently tied to Steam's stats. Steam Achievement Manager allows you to both add in and remove delete achievements and stats, which is exactly what this tweak has you doing. Here are the instructions Steam Community user Leaves shared to get this up and running:
1. Disable Steam Cloud for RE8 Demo
2. Download Steam SAM (Steam Achievement Manager)
3. Delete Local Savefiles(Located: D:\Steam\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\1541780\remote\win64_save\Delete those Files.
4. Start Steam SAM
5. Select RE8 Demo
6. Remove Achievements and Stats, confirm.
