Honor has just debuted the MagicBook V 14 2022 laptop in accordance with its Autumn Product Event teasers directed at its native Chinese market. However, it has landed alongside much less expected new MagicBook X-series PCs. They pack the same Alder Lake platforms that drives a 2.2K display in the new 14 2022 model.

Released earlier today, the major update that brings War Thunder to version 2.19 includes Chinese helicopters, improved visual effects, scout and strike UAVs, as well as quite a few other pieces of military hardware. The "Drone Age" update also sports new locations and multiple minor tweaks and fixes.

Included with HP computers, but also available as a standalone release for non-HP PCs that use the brand's peripherals such as scanners or printers, HP Support Assistant is vulnerable to DLL hijacking. The latest MateBook E variant from Huawei is a Go today (September 6, 2022). The convertible has a 12.35-inch display with 120Hz SKUs and a 2.5K display compatible with the OEM's latest stylus. It runs Windows 11 using the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor and, as such, starts much cheaper than its flagship sibling in China.

Anbernic has introduced another version of the Win600, which is already orderable online. Still running the AMD Athlon Silver 3050e, the Anbernic Win600 is now available with up to 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and in a colourful blue finish.

According to reports, Microsoft is looking to introduce plenty of new devices at this year's autumn hardware event. Not only is the company rumoured to have Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro X successors ready, but also the Surface Laptop 5 and even a Surface Studio 3.

Notebooks with the new Ryzen 7 6800U are still rare, but the Lenovo Yoga 7 14 once again confirms that AMD's current mobile processors are better compared to Intel in terms of CPU and iGPU performance as well as efficiency. Lenovo has brought the second generation ThinkPad X1 Fold to IFA 2022 in Berlin. Not only has Lenovo improved upon the device's design, but it has also equipped new ThinkPad X1 Fold with considerably more powerful processors, as well as LPDDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen 4 storage. Lenovo has lined up a release date for later this year and has already confirmed the device's starting price.

At IFA, Asus is introducing a few new laptops. One of those is the ExpertBook B5 B5602C. The target market for this 16 inch device are business customers. To convince them, Asus is betting on the low weight, the numpad, expandable RAM and an optionally large battery.

ASUS has provided more details about the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, its first laptop with a flexible OLED display. Equipped with an Intel Core i7-1250U processor, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED also has a 17.3-inch display and a 75 Wh battery. Pricing and availability has been confirmed too, at least in the Eurozone.

According to reports, Microsoft is preparing to launch a next-generation Surface Pro device. With ARM and Intel versions planned, Microsoft will reputedly release the Surface Pro 9 or Surface Pro 10 as a Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro X successor.

AYA NEO has showcased the SLIDE in a product progress video. Set to be a GPD Win 4 competitor when it arrives this year, the AYA NEO SLIDE has an unusual design and a display that supports two postures. AYA NEO equips the SLIDE with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U, an APU that contains Zen 3+ CPU cores and a powerful Radeon 680M iGPU.

The Core i7-11800H CPU and the GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU bring all the latest games smoothly onto the QHD screen. This is complemented by a mechanical keyboard, good battery life and a Thunderbolt 4 slot.

Alder Lake processor, dedicated graphics card, IPS display - the new Samsung Galaxy Book2 15 looks good on the spec sheet. In reality, though, the laptop disappoints in most respects. The new Arc A350M GPU from Intel in particular delivered lacklustre performance during the review, much like the display.

The featherweight LG Gram 17 (17Z90Q) is equipped with an Alder Lake processor, Thunderbolt 4 and room for two PCIe 4 SSDs. This is complemented by excellent battery life and a matte 17-inch display in the 16:10 format (2560x1600 pixels).

An extremely fast processor, a lot of RAM, a 360-Hertz panel, and the RTX 3070 Ti create high expectations. In addition to gaming, the laptop is also supposed to be able to handle some work, leading to some mixed results in our tests.

Melee is an oft-overlooked video game mechanic. Even some of the best games and developers miss the mark on melee, which is okay—every game can't be perfect. If you do want to scratch that sword-swinging itch though, fortunately there is a wealth of games that do it justice. Some of them are even free.

Dell's 14-inch laptop scores points with a powerful Ryzen 5 APU (Zen 3), 16 GB of RAM and very good battery life. Good: USB-C Power Delivery is supported. The 16:10 display (1,920x1,200 pixels) only provides poor color-space coverage.

Microsoft managed to issue a fix for the Windows 11 / Windows Server 2022 encryption vulnerability that makes use of the Vector Advanced Encryption Standard, but the patch is impacting CPU performance. Affected CPUs include Intel's 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th gen models, while AMD's affected models include Zen 3 and upcoming Zen 4 processors. Another fix that addresses the performance issues is expected to be available in a month.

Although the update for the mobile version is still at least a few days away, Vivaldi 5.4 for desktop users is now available with custom rocker gestures, the ability to turn off sound in web panels, as well as multiple under-the-hood optimizations for Vivaldi Mail, Calendar, and Feed Reader.
