Aorus 15 BSF: The RTX 4070 laptop with 10-hour runtimes

Gigabyte has brought out the Aorus 15 BSF, a powerful mid-range gaming laptop. The necessary performance is provided by Raptor Lake and Ada Lovelace in the shape of the Core i7-13700H and the GeForce RTX 4070. The present device can be found for around US$1,700. Cheaper models feature a GeForce RTX 4060 (15 BKF) or a GeForce RTX 4050 (15 BMF).

Its Core i7, RTX 4070 and 16 GB RAM (DDR5-4800, Dual-Channel-Modus) give the laptop the power needed for intense fields such as video editing, rendering and gaming. At the same time, noise and heat emissions remain on the expected levels for this price range. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) keeps loading times short.

The hardware can run all current games smoothly. In general, the full display resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) can be taken advantage of and you can select high to maximum settings. Higher resolutions could be achieved in combination with a suitable monitor - the 15 BSF features two video outputs (Mini DisplayPort, HDMI). The installed 15.6-inch display (IPS, 165 Hz, DCI-P3) generally left a good impression on us. Brightness and contrast levels could do with being a little higher. 

A full charge (99 Wh) results in practical runtimes of around 9 to 10 hours - very good values. Positive: The battery can be charged using the supplied proprietary Gigabyte power supply (240 watts), we well as via a universal USB-C charger - its Thunderbolt 4 port supports Power Delivery.
