The Powkiddy RGB30 is a new compact gaming handheld based around a Rockchip RK3566 chipset and a 4,100 mAh battery. Powkiddy has also included a 4-inch IPS display with a 720p resolution and a 1:1 aspect ratio, among other features.

Powkiddy is preparing to release another compact gaming handheld, having introduced the RGB10 Max 3 Pro in June. According to Retro Dodo, Powkiddy has named the unreleased device 'RGB30', which appears to be a more compact version of the RGB10 Max 3 Pro. As such, the RGB30 shares its overall design with the RGB10 Max 3 Pro, albeit with a smaller display and a weaker chipset.

Specifically, Powkiddy has based the RGB30 around the Rockchip RK3566, which the company also uses in the RK2023 and X55. For reference, the Rockchip RK3566 relies upon a 22 nm manufacturing process and combines four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores with a dual-core ARM Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. Typically, the Rockchip RK3566's CPU cores can boost to 2 GHz in demanding tasks, while its two GPU cores top out at 950 MHz.

Reportedly, Powkiddy complements the Rockchip RK3566 with a 4,100 mAh battery, all within a 145 x 86.5 x 18 mm housing. In other words, the RGB30 is shorter but thicker and wider than the RK2023, which measures 151.5 x 78 x 17.5 mm. However, the RGB30 also has a 17% larger battery capacity, meaning that it should match or better the 8 hours of battery life that the RK2023 offers.

Additionally, the RGB30 has a 4-inch IPS display that outputs at 720 x 720 pixels with a 1:1 aspect ratio. Purportedly, the RGB30 lacks a touchscreen but has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as two MicroSD cards and two USB Type-C ports. Powkiddy has not revealed a release date yet, but Retro Dodo expects the company to sell the RGB30 for roughly US$125.
