The flagship Huawei MateBook X may soon be accompanied by a mainstream Honor laptop offering. It's possible that Huawei wants to expand its product portfolio in an attempt to keep Xiaomi at bay. Beyond the April 19th announcement date, however, there is no word yet on the specifications of the supposed Honor MagicBook or what regions it will be available in.

There have been rumors in regard to Sony releasing the PlayStation 5 either later this year or in 2019. However, a number of sources speaking to Jason Schreier of Kotaku have poured cold water on the idea of a PS5 console being available within the rumored timeframe. More conservative suggestions have focused on a release date for the much-awaited device occurring in 2020.

Images of BlackBerry’s Athena phone have surfaced online, via the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO). The device has a good-looking mechanical QWERTY keyboard beneath a large screen, and it offers dual-camera functionality on its rear. The Athena is expected to be the successor to 2017’s BlackBerry KEYone.

The trendsetter may become the copycat: rumors coming out of Taiwan speculate that Apple may be releasing an iPhone with three lenses in 2019, a design that may be inspired by Huawei's P20 Pro.

A leak detailing HTC's upcoming flagship has surfaced. Going by the leak, the device will feature a 5.5-inch QHD+ display, quad cameras, OIS, IP68 certification, 8 GB of RAM, and Quick Charge 4+ support.

An AnTuTu listing of the next-gen Mate flagship has surfaced. The device is expected to be powered by the Kirin 980, HiSilicon's next-gen premium SoC. The Mate 20 impressed on this listing, showing a significant 30% advantage over the new Snapdragon 845.

According to supposedly reliable sources, Xiaomi and Google are working together on a smartphone for the US market. This device is said to be neither an Android One smartphone nor a Pixel, which leaves us a bit stumped as to what both companies have in the works.

In an event hosted for creative professionals earlier today, Apple executives clarified that the new Mac Pro desktop will indeed be released in 2019. In a somewhat surprising move, Apple will be working with professionals outside of the company to refine the product, which the company says will be designed from scratch.

Massive Entertainment, the Swedish video-game developer behind Tom Clancy’s The Division, may be working on a new battle royale game. It has been reported that the Ubisoft-owned subsidiary has been tasked by the French gaming giant to come up with something in this massively popular genre that could challenge titles such as Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

A video that was briefly present on the Facebook page of OnePlus India reveals that Marvel Studios will team up with the Chinese brand for an Avengers-themed limited edition of the upcoming OnePlus 6 flagships. The video has been removed shortly after being posted, apparently because it was a test video that should not have been shared online.

A report from Bloomberg has suggested that Apple is working on a couple of interesting features for future smartphone releases. The first feature is touchless gesture controls, which would enable the user to operate the phone by moving a finger near to the screen rather than actually tapping it. The other rumored feature is a curved display, possibly to help differentiate a future iPhone device from other similar products in the smartphone market.

The handset that is believed to be the compact (and less potent) version of the Samsung Galaxy S9 flagship has just been spotted on Geekbench, where it is listed under the model number SM-G8750. This handset is rumored to be currently tested in China and features 4 GB RAM and a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.

The OnePlus 6 is about due for an announcement. There have been reports that the device will launch with an MSRP of US$700 for its highest-specced variant. We are, of course, not at all convinced.

Although Google is currently involved in lower-cost initiatives like Android Go and Android One, the Google Pixel smartphones and phablets released so far always targeted the top tier of the market. However, the company is now planning to adjust its strategy in some markets like India, where a mid-range Pixel phone is expected to launch by the summer's end.

While the Moto Z3 Play renders that have just surfaced online show a handset with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, as well as a dual-camera setup and the contacts for Moto Mods on the back, the recent FCC listing reveals a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 32 GB or 64 GB internal storage.

A new exclusive report about LG's next-gen flagship — which might not hit the market as the LG G7 after all — reveals that this handset will feature a dedicated AI button and a rear camera with f/1.5 aperture (obviously, a dual camera setup). If the rumor turns out to be true, this device will be unveiled by the end of the month.

Not long after HMD Global managed to bring back two classic Nokia phones, namely the 3310 and the 8110, we hear that another iconic handset will be revived by the current owners of the Nokia brand. This is the Nokia 2010, a handset that was introduced in 1994 and is widely recognized as the first mobile phone that made it easy to write messages.

If the unconfirmed prices are accurate, then we can expect the Core i7-8750H and Core i9-8950HK SKUs to retail for approximately $2600 USD and $3500 USD, respectively, with an uncommon 144 Hz IPS 1080p display. The Helios 500 looks to be a completely new design compared to the existing Helios 300 with even larger rear ventilation grilles.

Since the Lenovo Tab 4 has been around for a while, the time seems right for a new Android slate from the Chinese brand. Sadly, the FCC arrival of the Dolby Atmos-certified Lenovo TB-8304F1 does not reveal anything else than its audio certification and the power input of just 5 V and 1 A, but many expect it to hit the market as the Lenovo Tab 5.

The upcoming Google Pixel 3 flagship is expected to feature a new Pixel Launcher design, but some of the changes have been already discovered inside the APK file of the existing app by a senior member of the popular XDA Developers community. The tech giant is expected to show these changes in May, at this year's Google I/O 2018 developer conference.

Although the official launch might still be a week or two ahead of us, a Hungarian online store has just published the product pages for the Moto G6 and G6 Plus, revealing all the details. According to it, both handsets feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 64 GB internal storage, and a main camera that combines a 12 MP sensor and a 5 MP one.

Xiaomi's last device with a MediaTek SoC was the Redmi Note 4. The MediaTek Redmi Note 4 never attained the critical acclaim of its Snapdragon sibling but it would seem the Chinese company is set to make a return to its old MediaTek ways.

The upcoming Honor 7A is expected to launch on April 2, since a few fresh reports revealed images of the media invites that Huawei's subsidiary has already sent out. More than a year since the launch of a new flagship smartwatch, Samsung is on its way to bringing the Gear S4 at IFA. A recent unofficial report reveals that a wearable codenamed "Galileo" and bearing the SM-R800 model number is under development and will be released in the last quarter of this year.

The Palm Pre could be set to make a comeback to the US market later this year, if a fresh rumor is accurate. The device is expected to be designed and manufactured by Chinese company TCL, which is behind the most recent BlackBerry devices currently on the market like the BlackBerry KEYone.

Dutch website LetsGoDigital has uncovered a patent for a foldable phone filed by Huawei in September 2017. The Chinese technology company seems to have developed a tablet-sized device which when folded would be the size of a regular smartphone. The central “gap” problem, created when a foldable dual-screen smartphone is opened up, has been addressed by making the device bendable.

HMD kicked off 2018 with something of a bang. The Finnish OEM apparently still has a number of releases lined up for the rest of the year, including two flagships. Of those two devices, one will be cheaper and, thankfully, not feature a notch.

A device that appears to be the Mi 6X has made a surprise appearance on TENAA. It isn’t a full listing, though, so all this tells us is that the device will sport a design similar to the Mi 5X's but with an 18:9 display and vertically aligned dual rear cameras.

There is a rumor that Sony may be working on a new Android tablet. The rumor started after certain lines of code from a teardown of the camera app on the new Xperia XZ2 smartphone appeared on a blog called Sumahoinfo. The code features the words “Tablet_8inch” and “Tablet_10inch,” and it also contains some simple concept images of devices that could hint at future Sony tablets.

According to a set of recently spotted benchmark listings, the Samsung Galaxy A6 is powered by the Exynos 7870 processor, while the Plus variant has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 under the hood. Both are expected to debut in Europe, Russia, and the Middle East in the coming months with Android Oreo onboard.

According to an anonymous source speaking with TweakTown, the next generation of Nvidia GPUs will not be labeled as the once-expected GTX 20 Series but will be known as the GTX 11 Series. It is even possible that Nvidia will overhaul its naming conventions and start using identifiers that end in the number 5. No doubt more details will be revealed at the upcoming GPU Technology Conference (GTC).

Also known as the Imagine, HTC's upcoming U12+ will be the brand's next premium flagship. Sadly, this handset that is supposed to debut as a direct competitor for the Huawei Mate, Apple iPhone X, or the Samsung Galaxy Note will remain the only such device to be released by the Google-owned HTC this year.

Since 2013, all ThinkPad laptops with a 15,6-inch screen have included a dedicated numpad. As a reaction to many complaints about this state of affairs, a Lenovo employee in the companies own forum has announced that the PC manufacturer will finally release a new model without a numpad. This new ThinkPad will be launched in 2018.

Since Porsche Design and Huawei-related promo materials have been already spotted in Paris at the location where the P20 and P20 Pro will be unveiled tomorrow and the name of the upcoming Mate RS is no longer a secret, it only remains to see what hides under the hood of the new limited edition luxury device.

A tweet by Evan Blass has touted the upcoming HTC U12 Life to feature a notch. Notches have been a divisive topic since the start of the year, and it would seem that HTC is keen on moving with the flow of the market, dwindling sales numbers duly disregarded.

Samsung, Apple, and now LG will be ramping up R&D on the potential applications and commercialization of MicroLED panels for portable devices. The technology may eventually spill over to laptops since its advantages over LCD and even OLED are numerous. A new 4 x 4 km PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) map has been teased at the Game Developers Conference that has been taking place in San Francisco. PUBG’s developer announced that the public testing phase for the latest map will start in early April. The intent behind releasing a smaller map is to create a more intense style of gameplay.

It appears Huawei might be working on a smartphone that offers a whopping 512 GB of storage space. A recent online listing for a Huawei device offers specification details such as 6 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM. If the Chinese technology company is actually developing a handset with such an amount of storage, then it will be twice the size of the largest amount of storage the iPhone X currently offers.

There has been a report suggesting that Huawei Technologies is developing a smartphone that could utilize blockchain technology. Officials from the Chinese multinational have apparently been in talks with representatives from Sirin Labs, who created the Finney smartphone that features blockchain-based security. If Huawei goes ahead and create a “blockchain smartphone” then the company will be the first major smartphone manufacturer to deliver this particular technology to the masses.

After months of delays and speculation, the Atari VCS (formerly the Ataribox) finally debuted in physical form at GDC. There's still a lot of information about the console that Atari is keeping close to the chest, but we do know that Atari VCS will be more akin to a Linux PC than a dedicated gaming console, which should expand its capabilities (and possibly appeal).

It has been reported that Apple will unveil the iPhone X Plus in September. There has already been mention of three new iPhone variants coming this year from the Cupertino-based manufacturer, including a “giant high-end iPhone,” a less expensive version of the flagship smartphone, and an upgrade of the iPhone X. It is believed the iPhone X Plus might feature a 6.2-inch OLED display.

Since Vladimir Putin will be in charge for a few more years, it looks like Telegram might end up being blocked in Russia. A set of laws introduced back in 2016 required Telegram to give the government a way to decrypt all user conversations, and they received a fine of US$14,000 for failing to do so. Now, Telegram users in Russia should prepare for the worst.

The official invite that Apple has recently sent out contains the headline "Let's take a field trip." and the location of the March 27 event makes it all clear. The new Apple products will be unveiled at the Lane Tech College Prep High School, the rumors about them including new iPads (models with an OLED display and/or cheaper ones), VR gear, a new Apple Pencil, and even a preview of the upcoming iOS 12 update.

Word of a device powered by a "Snapdragon 632" has surfaced again, and just like the first time out, we're leery. There doesn't look to be any such SoC in the works, and the source information is as wonky as it gets.

Shortly after seeing the Huawei Y9 (2018) launch in Thailand, an unofficial render of the next-gen Huawei Y7 surfaced online. This mid-range Android handset is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch display with 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, a single 13 MP photo shooter on the back, a fingerprint reader, and a traditional 3.5 mm audio jack. Its specs might also include 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, and a Snapdragon 435 processor (or similar).

There has been speculation that Activision Blizzard may enter the battle royale genre sooner rather than later. Apparently, the video-game giant is “keenly aware” of how well some competitors are performing with this particular type of game, and as a “faster follower” it is surely only a matter of time before the California-based behemoth gets royally involved.

There has been a report made about the expected release date and higher price tag for the LG G7. The device is expected to be announced in April and to go on sale in May. No exact price point has been revealed yet, but the same source commented that the G7's release price will be considerably higher than that of the G6's. There is also a rumor LG is preparing to announce a Plus version of the G7, too.

Although the upcoming Galaxy J-series handsets are rumored to feature Samsung Exynos processors, the Samsung SM-J805G device — believed to be the Galaxy J8+ (2018) — surfaced online with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 under the hood, 4 GB of memory, and Android 8.0 Oreo. Sadly, other details are not available right now, but we will probably hear more about the Galaxy J8+ (2018) in the coming weeks.

If the latest rumors turn into reality, Android Wear will change its name around 4 years after its release. In addition to the new name, Google's upcoming Wear OS should also feature a new, colorful logo similar to the one currently used by Google Assistant. However, this change was spotted in the latest 12.5 beta for Play Services, so nothing is official yet, but we will probably see it happening in May at Google I/O.

A report created by Kyle Bennett of HardOCP will likely not go down well with executives at Nvidia. Bennett’s article focuses on the GPU-maker’s GeForce Partner Program (GPP), which has been introduced to “better serve gamers.” Concerns have been raised over the alleged requirement of partners having their “gaming brand aligned exclusively with GeForce.” Some commentators have suggested this could be considered an anti-consumer practice.
