The latest leaked research note allegedly sent to TF International Securities by the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Apple does have a second-gen SE in the works. It will apparently be released in the first quarter of 2020 and be "more affordable". It is also now said to assume a form-factor similar to the iPhone 8.

NVIDIA looks set to have a busy end of the month, at least if latest rumors are to be believed. Chinese insiders claim that the company will release the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER in the final week of October, a week after it is expected to unleash the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. The GTX 1660 SUPER will sit between the GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti, with NVIDIA likely pitching it against AMD's upcoming Navi 12 and Navi 14 GPUs.

Motorola is now linked to an upcoming release for another One-line phone. It is rumored to be called the One Macro, and to be powered by a MediaTek SoC. A phone that might meet this description has been tweeted as a render by Evan Blass.

Huawei has had its latest phablet series on shelves in its home country for only 6 days now. In this time, it has reportedly sold out on a popular online sales platform, accrued 1 million sales in 3 hours and may have raked in half a billion yuan per minute in the process. This apparent success is ascribed to the uptake of Google-less EMUI 10 in China.

Prolific leaker Evan Blass has given us a look at the upcoming 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the Surface Laptop 3 a day early, with Microsoft expected to announce the series tomorrow at its next Surface hardware event. The photos, which look like marketing images, show the Surface Laptop 3 in four colours including Blue and Rose Gold, but fans of the current Red variant may be left disappointed.

Although this is not official yet, it looks like Samsung has already disbanded the entire team that was working in its Austin R&D center to develop architectures and designs for the System LSI division so next-gen Exynos chips will — most likely — use solutions developed by ARM instead.

Microsoft has more up its sleeve than just the Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7, according to veteran leaker Evan Blass. Leaked marketing images give a first glimpse at the device, while Blass has hinted about the OS that it will be running too. Bring on tomorrow, for there may be a dual-screen Surface device in the wings too.

The wait for the next Surface hardware event is almost over. However, Evan Blass has come through early and delivered the first look at the Surface Pro 7, courtesy of what are likely leaked marketing images. The device looks like a minor revision of last year's Surface Pro, but with one notable change.

New alleged details about Microsoft’s upcoming new Surface products have emerged. Apparently, a selection of fresh colors for the next generation of Surface devices is inbound, and the newest edition to the Surface Laptop line will be shorn of its Alcantara coat. The Compubench site has added a listing for a "genuine" Intel CPU that is integrated with a "Gen12 Mobile Graphics Controller". This, then, may be the integrated graphics solution that is said to launch alongside Tiger Lake chipsets. The benchmark indicates that it has 96 execution units (EUs) and goes at 1.1GHz.

Sony recently launched the Xperia 5 and is already working on a new flagship phone. This device, likely to be the Xperia 2, will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 865, and has now appeared on the company's official servers.

Xiaomi recently released the Mi Mix Alpha and that may have led some to believe that the Mix 4 was dead in the water. Apparently not, if new rumors are anything to go by. The Mix 4 is touted to be on the way, and it could come with the same 108 MP sensor we saw on the Alpha.

Realme may have a phone powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC in the works. This is indicated by a new certification granted by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) for a new device from this brand. It is described as running a processor that matches up to the premium chipset well.

A while ago, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro but the duo never quite hit the heights of their predecessors. The company is apparently set to release a more attractive device in a purported Redmi Note 8T, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 730G.

A new concept video of the PlayStation 5 has been uploaded to YouTube that offers a potential glimpse at what the final product from Sony could resemble. We have already seen 10 core, 12 core and 18 core representatives from Intel's upcoming Cascade Lake-X (CL-X) series hit Geekbench, and now a 14 core SKU has appeared online. While previous results have shown a demonstrable difference between the CL-X series, this new 14 core chip only edges its 12 core sibling despite having 2 additional cores. The successor to the Core i9-9940X only outscores the 12 core Ryzen 9 3900X by 5% in multicore workloads too.

Honor has confirmed that the 9X will come to UK and European markets soon. However, some images obtained by a reliable leaker indicates that these phones will have a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, whereas existing Chinese units do not. There is also some doubt that they will ship with Google Play Services in their new regions.

Xiaomi recently unveiled the latest version of its skin, MIUI 11. The company is set to send out the MIUI update to its devices and a list has surfaced online showing which device will be eligible and when they'll receive the OTA. It's an impressive list, too, with the oldest device on it being three years old already.

The Redmi 7 was launched about six months ago and Xiaomi is set to release a direct successor. The Redmi 8 brings several tangible improvements over its predecessor but the SoC is a downgrade in terms of performance, and potential buyers may just be better served looking at the cheaper Redmi 8A.

There have been rumors about Microsoft debuting Windows Core OS next week at its Surface hardware event on October 2, potentially on foldable devices codenamed Centaurus and Pegasus. Now, a Geekbench listing has appeared that shows Core OS running a mysterious Intel Lakefield processor. Have we just seen the first sight of Microsoft's return to mobile devices?

Xiaomi normally releases fitness bands or watches that run proprietary apps rather than a dedicated, familiar OS. A tech blog may have found evidence that this may change soon. It claims to have detected code in the Wear OS phone app that points to upcoming compatible products from this OEM.

Atlas is a code-name that has popped up in a few Chromebook-related leaks over the past few months. It is linked to development by Google and has been thrown around as a Pixelbook successor. Now, 9to5Google's sources claim that it is indeed part of this series, but not perhaps as some may have assumed.

Yet more of the Cascade Lake-X product stack has appeared on Geekbench, with someone now testing the successor to the Core i9-9920X. The processor in question looks to be an engineering sample based on the clock speeds that Geekbench reports, but the 12 core and 24 thread CPU can already match the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X and outscore the Threadripper 2920X by up to 22% in multicore workloads. Albeit, the Core i9-10920X will probably cost up to 3x the price of comparable AMD chips.

Microsoft is expected to unveil at least the Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7 at its hardware event on October 2. A recent FCC filing suggests that the company may also have a new Surface Pen in the works, though. The certified accessory has an interesting detail that existing Surface Pens lack too.

A new entry for what claims to be the Radeon RX 5500 has appeared on GFXBench. The new listing seemingly confirms that AMD will bring two RX 5xxx series to market, with the RX 5300 series confirmed to be making an appearance too. The RX 5500 series, expected to be based on AMD's Navi 12 GPU, will likely challenge the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 series for midrange market dominance.

A new rumor claims that AMD and Microsoft have had a much closer partnership over the 15-inch version of the Surface Laptop 3 than previously thought. Initially reported by Roland Quandt at WinFuture, the rumor, an excerpt from a US price list, claims that Microsoft will release at least six distinct configurations. The series will apparently cost between US$999 and US$2,399, although two SKUs are apparently powered by unannounced Ryzen processors, which suggests that AMD and Microsoft are cooperating more deeply than we originally thought.

The X2 is a phone rumored to be a modified version of the XT, Realme's first 64MP camera phone. A new device from the same brand has appeared on Geekbench 4. Based on its model number, it may be the X2; however, the SoC information in these benchmarking results contradicts some recent leaks.

Are you in the market for a midrange desktop GPU but are holding out until AMD releases its Navi 12 and Navi 14 GPUs? Well the graphics chips, currently expected to be called the Radeon RX 5500 and RX 5600 series, may beat the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti to market, which is rumored to launch on October 22. Navi 12 and Navi 14 should replace AMD's Polaris range.

Typically OEMs release several models during a console's lifespan, with Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo all doing so for their current consoles. However, the latest rumor is that Sony will launch the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro on day one, apparently to address interest for a high-end model. The rumor stems from Japanese journalist Zenji Nishikawa who has form for being correct about the Nintendo Switch Lite, so perhaps this one has legs too.

A couple of more Google Pixel 4-related leaks have surfaced, one concerning the apparently official names for the colors the smartphones will come in and another about the not inconsiderable price tags. According to one specific retailer, potential Pixel 4 buyers in Ireland will have to cough up just under €820 (~US$903/£723) for the 64 GB variant of the regular-sized model.

The Japanese lens-maker Tamron already makes 17-28mm and 8-75mm f/2.8 products for Sony full-frame cameras. Now, it has released a video teaser hinting at 4 more of the same to be launched soon. Their specs are left to the imagination, but a photography blog claims to have worked them out.

An interesting tip from a well-known leaker has seemingly revealed which AMD processors could find their way into Microsoft Surface devices in the not too distant future. It’s expected the new Surface Laptop 3 will be configured with an AMD-based option, and it appears buyers will be able to choose between the mysterious Ryzen 5 3550U and Ryzen 7 3750U.

We have already seen the 10 core Core i9-10900X achieving a Geekbench multi-core score close to 40,000 points, and now the Core i9-10980XE is flexing its muscles. The 18 core Cascade Lake-X processor breezes past all before it, except for upcoming Zen 2 Ryzen Threadripper 3000 chips and? Well, its predecessor too.

Most feature phones (simple phones with physical buttons) typically run on alternative software such as KaiOS. However, a blogger has posted a video of what appears to be one of these devices running Android. This phone, linked to the brand Nokia, may be released with a ROM based on an older version of this OS: Oreo (8.1).

Chinese retailer JD.com has jumped the gun and listed the Ryzen 5 3500X on its website before AMD has even formally announced it. The listing confirms the tip that prolific leaker @TUM_APISAK posted last month, with AMD marketing material pitting its upcoming Zen 2 processor against the Intel Core i5-9400F. The listing reports that the Ryzen 5 3500X will clock between 3.6 and 4.1 GHz, but that its 6 cores will not support Simultaneous multithreading (SMT).

Intel is lining up its next-generation High-End Desktop (HEDT) processors, which it will still base on its 14 nm FinFET process. A new Threadripper 3000 Geekbench listing demonstrates how far Intel is behind AMD in the HEDT space though, with a 32 core SKU exceeding 65,000 points again in multicore work. The Zen 2-based series looks set to be compatible with Socket TR4 and the X570 chipset too.

Business Insider has published a new report that claims to offer an insight into the development of Google-brand smartwatches. It also outlines the nature of the "secret" technology purchased by this company from Fossil, which allegedly results in hybrid devices that are removed from the pure Wear OS device that may be expected of a first-gen Pixel Watch.

A OnePlus 7T sporting an octa-core processor has apparently been spotted on the Geekbench 5 benchmark. The device in question amassed very respectable scores in both the single-core and multi-core tests, generally outperforming the OnePlus 7 Pro by a small margin. The OnePlus 7T is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC.

It seems that the US ban on Huawei may have landed its biggest scalp yet. According to multiple industry insiders, Huawei will not be launching the Mate 30, Mate 30 Lite, Mate 30 RS Porsche Design or Mate 30 Pro in Central Europe, despite unveiling the series in Munich tomorrow. The brand has also released some details of this device - the X2 - which make it sound suspiciously like the XT that is now official in India. However, it has some crucial differences, such as its 32MP selfie camera.
