A Geekbench 5 record for a “OnePlus HD1903” has been unearthed, which could be evidence of a OnePlus 7T flagship device being tested on the well-known benchmark. Of course, Geekbench records are sometimes falsified, but the scores aren’t too outrageous to be instantly disbelieved. The device in this particular test managed 791 points in the single-core test and 2,855 in the multi-core test.
A strong multi-core result should be expected if this was the OnePlus 7T being tested, as the smartphone is believed to be coming with a Snapdragon 855+ onboard, which has eight cores for enhanced performance. The other specifications noted in the Geekbench 5 run include Android 10 as the OS and 8 GB RAM.
A look through Geekbench 5’s Android benchmark charts shows that these alleged scores by the OnePlus 7T would put it at the top of both tables. However, it’s important to remember that the charts are created using the average scores of at least five unique runs. The OnePlus 7 Pro is riding high in the single-core charts with 719 points (the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G tops with 759 points).
When it comes to multi-core performance, it appears OnePlus is doing something right with its smartphones. The OnePlus 7 Pro currently heads the Geekbench 5 Android chart on 2,631 points, and it’s possible the company’s OnePlus 7T series could soon end up leapfrogging their stable-mate. The OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro should be revealed on September 26.
