It would seem that the OnePlus 7T Pro will not make it to the US after all
Over the past few weeks, there has been a steady influx of leaks on OnePlus's upcoming phones, the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. We won't have to deal with mere leaks soon, though, as the company has officially confirmed the launch date of the devices.
The OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will be unveiled on September 26. The teaser shows that there will be three different launch events, on two dates. On September 26, the OnePlus 7T will be launched in India and North America. On October 10, however, will be a European launch event.
It's interesting how the invite is worded. It makes it seem like the North American and Indian events will only see the unveiling of the OnePlus 7T, which is rather weird. The 7T Pro will be unveiled in Europe on October 10.
The OnePlus 7 wasn't released in the US at all, with OnePlus choosing to reduce the 6T's MSRP instead. That move made the new OnePlus 7 Pro the company's only current-gen choice in the US. Roles will be reversed this time out, though, as the US will get the OnePlus 7T and not the OnePlus 7T Pro. The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition will be sold in the US as a Verizon exclusive, though.
Both the 7T and 7T Pro are said to feature the new Snapdragon 855+, 90 Hz display, and triple rear cameras. The 7T Pro is expected to have a few advantages over the regular 7T, namely; a QHD+ display, a more powerful telephoto shooter, and a slightly bigger battery.
