The demand for Galaxy S22-series devices has reportedly started to flag in Samsung's native South Korea. Carriers in the country have responded to this drop in sales by increasing subsidies for the phones. It is not certain that this situation has arisen because of the recent Game Optimization Services (GOS) controversy, although it may not have helped.

According to reports, Samsung and MediaTek's collaboration is set to extend to the Galaxy S series smartphones, starting this summer with the Galaxy S22 FE. Purportedly, Samsung will even release members of the Galaxy S23 series with Exynos chipsets, but perhaps only in one major market.
