Earlier this month, SamMobile claimed to have learned details about a new storage option for this year's Galaxy Z Fold. As we discussed at the time, SamMobile reported that the Galaxy Z Fold4 would launch with 1 TB of storage, an option that Samsung has not offered since the Galaxy S10+. The website did not provide any evidence that this would be the case, though.
However, Handphone Korea, run by the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT), contains numerous references to the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. For some reason, KAIT includes model numbers and details for soon-to-be-released smartphones; Samsung is expected to refresh the Galaxy Z series in August. Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 will launch on August 26 alongside the Galaxy Watch5 series.
As the screenshots below show, Samsung is preparing to release multiple versions of the SM-F721N and SM-F936N, the model numbers for the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4, respectively. While some relate to carrier-locked versions, others include storage details. Specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will come in 512 GB and 1 TB flavours; it remains to be seen whether there will be a 256 GB version this year.
For some reason, Handphone Korea only lists 512 GB versions of the Galaxy Z Flip4. Currently, Samsung offers two storage options for the Galaxy Z Flip3, so it would seem unusual for the Galaxy Z Flip4 to only arrive with one. Also, the Galaxy Z Flip3 comes in 128 GB and 256 GB editions. As such, switching to a sole 512 GB option would appear unlikely, based on Samsung's recent flagship smartphone releases. If recent hands-on photos are anything to go by, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will be the spitting image of the Galaxy Z Flip3.
