Given the spate of leaks surrounding it, there isn't much left to learn about the Galaxy Z Fold4. Among other things, the foldable is slated to bring a wider screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a larger battery. Sources familiar with the matter have told Sammobile that the smartphone will also bring forth a significant bump in storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will be the first of its kind to ship with 1 TB of internal storage. It isn't surprising, given that the Galaxy Z Fold series often takes a year to catch up with their Galaxy S counterparts. A system memory upgrade seems implausible and will probably be limited to 12 GB, which is still plenty for a smartphone.
The extra storage, however, will also likely bring forth a corresponding price increase, making the Galaxy Z Fold4 one of the first Samsung phones to breach the US$2,000 barrier. While that is quite a hefty sum, many would consider it worth the price, given the laundry list of upgrades offered. Besides, the cheaper base variant with 256 GB of storage should be sufficient for most users.
Until now, the entire Galaxy Z series shipped with some fairly lackluster cameras. The Galaxy Z Fold4, on the other hand, is rumoured to pack a 50 MP primary sensor. It could theoretically support 8K video recording, making the bump in storage almost necessary, especially for avid videographers.
