@Mr_TechTalkTV has provided conflicting information about the fate of the Galaxy Z Fold4. To recap, @OnLeaks shared renders that he claimed were produced from leaked CAD drawings. As we reported at the time, the renders highlighted a few modest changes from the Galaxy Z Fold3, including an adoption of the Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera design. Separately, @UniverseIce has stated multiple times that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will have a squarer design than the Galaxy Z Fold3 too, with Samsung moving closer to the form factor that Oppo introduced with the Find N.
While the latter may still be true, @Mr_TechTalkTVbelieves that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will not resemble @OnLeaks' renders. Instead, the former claims that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will feature its predecessor's camera design, effectively a cross between the ones found in the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Fold2. For reference, the Galaxy Z Fold2 also followed the design language Samsung established with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Additionally, @Mr_TechTalkTV reports that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will rely on a 50 MP primary camera, presumably a significant upgrade from the 12 MP sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Fold2. However, this would mean that the Galaxy Z Fold4 misses out on the 108 MP sensor Samsung uses in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This 50 MP camera could potentially be the ISOCELL GN5, a 1/1.57-inch sensor that Samsung already offers in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus. Incidentally, the Vivo X Fold relies on the same camera, as does the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. As it stands, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold4 in late August alongside the Galaxy Z Flip4, the Galaxy Watch5 and the Galaxy Watch5 Pro.
