@OnLeaks has partnered with GizNext to deliver official press images of the Galaxy Z Flip4, due to be marketed as the Galaxy Z Flip4 5G by Samsung. As we have reported previously, Samsung is expected to offer the Galaxy Z Flip4 in numerous colour combinations through its Bespoke Edition programme. However, third-party retailers may be restricted to selling the foldable smartphone in Blue, Bora Purple, Graphite and Pink Gold.
Although Samsung has introduced new colours for this year's Galaxy Z Flip, the fourth-generation is easy to mistake for its predecessor. Closer inspection reveals that Samsung has revised its hinge mechanism for the Galaxy Z Flip4 though, as well as including a larger cover display. Additionally, it appears that Samsung has gone with a less rounded frame on the Galaxy Z Flip4 than it did with the Galaxy Z Flip3.
Internally, the Snapdragon 888 will make way for the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, a change that should deliver improved performance combined with superior power efficiency, among other changes. Reputedly, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will be available with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM, plus 128 GB, 256 or 512 GB of storage.
According to earlier rumours, the Galaxy Z Flip4 could be more expensive than its predecessor, but it should still undercut Motorola's next-generation Razr, already confirmed to be the Razr 2022. Samsung will present the Galaxy Z Flip4 on August 10 at a Galaxy Unpacked event, during which it should also introduce the Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Watch5 series and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.
