OPPO Find N2: Word of OPPO's potential Galaxy Z Flip4 rival surfaces as launch nears
OPPO launched the Find N at the tail end of last year as its first attempt at making a foldable smartphone. The Find N went on to be hailed for its stellar design, shallow crease, and overall build quality. The company looks set to release a direct successor in the coming months, too, with word of the OPPO Find N2 now surfacing.
According to leaker Mukul Sharma, the OPPO Find N2 is on the way. Supposedly, the foldable has now entered the testing stage, indicating it's now closer to launch than before. The leaker claims the OPPO Find N2 will likely be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is about expected as most OEMs are touted to make a complete switch from the disappointing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Unlike the OPPO Find N which comes only in a traditional Galaxy Fold-esque horizontal folding style, the OPPO Find N2 is expected to be a clamshell phone, in the same vein as the Galaxy Z Flip series. It's unknown if the the vertically-folding model will arrive alone, however. Reports from China a while back claimed both OPPO and Realme have clamshell-style foldables in the works. These devices will debut sometime this year and will bear price tags in the CNY 6,000 (US$900) range. That would likely make the OPPO Find N2 priced similarly to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, and it remains to be seen what OPPO's unique selling point will be versus Samsung's product.
