Asus has announced the ROG Strix SCAR 17 laptop that can be configured with either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER or RTX 2080 SUPER mobile GPU and features Intel’s new i9-10980HK processor. The gaming laptop also offers users ROG Boost for additional performance, and it will be configurable with up to a 300 Hz display. Prices start at €1,899 (~US$2,121) in Germany.

Gigabyte will be "Redefining Gaming Notebooks" as one of the first OEMs out of the gate with Core i7-10750H, Core i7-10875H, and unlocked Core i9-10980HK options later this month. Comparisons to the competing AMD Ryzen 4000 series, which will also be shipping out in the coming weeks, should prove to be interesting.

Had your fill of the GTX 16 series yet? Well, Gigabyte has gone and released a GDDR6 version of the GTX 1650. No, that is not a joke. The cards, as there are two of them, feature 4 GB of VRAM running at 12 Gbps. Presumably based on the TU117, the cards support 896 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bandwidth. Discovered by @momomo_us, the GDDR6 versions of the GTX 1650 are available to purchase now. Expect other AIBs to follow suit, too.

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G has been spotted on Geekbench for the first time ever. Based on its single and multi-core test results, it appears to be a Snapdragon 865-powered variant of the phone. The device specifications showcased in the listing are bound to change, as the device in question is very likely a pre-production model of Samsung's upcoming flagship.

Looking forward to the launch of the OnePlus 8 series? Well, Apple may have other plans, as rumour has it that the company is planning to scuttle the release of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro by announcing the iPhone SE 2 on the same day. Expected to start at US$349 and feature the A13 Bionic SoC, the iPhone SE 2 has possibly been spotted in iOS 13.4.5 beta code, too.

This year's April 1st special takes Gaijin's game to space, but also come with a special event that can end up with a very rare piece of military hardware, namely the Object 279 heavy tank. Back in 2016 and 2017, these special events involved ships and modern tanks, which were both added to the game since then.

Users will soon be able to use a single WhatsApp account across multiple devices. The feature was first spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp, and is expected to make its way to a stable release in the near future. The chances of cross-platform support, however, look grim.

It seems that Dell has forgotten about the XPS 15. While we continue to award the device top marks year on year, Dell has essentially been releasing minor revisions of the same machine since 2015. Now, several UserBenchmark listings have given us an insight into what Dell has planned for this year's XPS 15, the 9500. Hardware-wise at least, it looks like we are in for another year of Dell flogging a dead horse. There is a flicker of a chassis redesign being on the cards, though.

HKEPC appears to have gotten their hands on multiple Comet Lake S parts. Their leaked performance review compares the i7-10700, i5-10500, and i5-10400 against the Ryzen competition and current Coffee Lake parts like the i7-9700K. The i5 parts offered disappointing performance relative to the Ryzen 7 3600X, but the i7-10700K held its own against the Ryzen 7 3700X.

Huawei has released its financial performance report for 2019, which outlines its takings worldwide from all its business, consumer electronics included. They show that overall revenues have increased year-on-year (YoY). However, the growth of its profits did not match those of previous years.

Lenovo has launched the Tab M10 Plus, its latest budget. The Tab M10 Plus comes in at under €200 but includes a large battery, fairly thin display bezels and up to 128 GB of storage. The Tab M10 Plus has an 87% screen to body ratio and is just 8.15 mm thick.

Xiaomi is bringing the 65-inch version of the Mi TV 4S to Europe. Launching in June, the Mi TV 4S 65" will retail for €549 and features a native 4K resolution, HDR10+ certification. The Android TV also has stereo speakers onboard and offers support for DTS-HD and Dolby Audio.

HMD Global just announced that the Nokia 7.2 will receive the Android 10 update starting today. You may have to wait a few days to get it, though, as it is a staged rollout. Head over to your devices' Settings app to try and trigger the update manually.

Launched alongside the P40 series, Huawei has announced plans to upgrade over 30 devices to EMUI 10.1. While still based on Android 10, EMUI 10.1 refines upon EMUI 10 in many areas, including smoother animations, along with multi-window, multi-device control panel and multi-screen collaboration improvements. EMUI 10.1 introduces MeeTime too, Huawei's answer to FaceTime. Even an AI assistant is onboard, with Celia likely replacing Google Assistant as the default digital assistant.

A video clip of a supposed PlayStation 5 devkit in action has been recently uploaded to YouTube. There is a brief glimpse at the hardware and then the camera moves to a large monitor where we get a great look at the main menu and user interface. It’s an impressive show, but unfortunately for PS5 fans this is definitely fake.

Apparently, Oppo found a way to safely implement "air-charging" into smartphones using a new FreeVOOC coil and an electromagnetic emitter that has a 10-meter range. This allows the batteries to constantly charge at 5-10 W while in the range of said emitter, so the phone supposedly never runs out of juice.

Both Xiaomi and POCO have revealed plans to raise the prices of their smartphone products in India due to the increase in Goods and Service Tax on mobile phones. The rate has gone from 12% to 18% and Xiaomi and POCO will soon be updating their smartphone prices accordingly. POCO has also blamed the value of the rupee and supply problems for the price hike.

While the iPhone SE 2 may start at as low as US$349, Apple is still yet to confirm a launch date of its upcoming "budget" smartphone. An HP Pavilion 24 All-in-One PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H APU inside it has been spotted being tested on Geekbench 5.1, where it managed a good single-core result and unsurprisingly a very strong multi-core score. The latter result was higher than what the Intel Core i9-9980HK amassed when we tested it as part of a new Acer ConceptD 9 Pro workstation.

Quietly unveiled at CES 2020, the GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q has made its retail debut a full year later than its Turing Max-Q siblings. It remains to be seen how OEMs will adopt the GPU as it performs quite closely to the GTX 1660 Ti but with the added benefit of RT and tensor cores.

Fans of games like Pokemon GO or Ingress may find it harder to pursue this kind of augmented-reality (AR) gaming while self-isolating against the risk of Covid-19. However, their maker Niantic has announced that it will shortly introduce new updates that make them more compatible with playing while stuck at home.

Users can choose to equip the XMG Apex 15 with more down-to-earth specs like a Ryzen 3600 CPU, 8 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 256 GB SATA 3 SSD and an RTX 2060, or could go all in with specs including the Ryzen 9 3950X, up to 64 GB of RAM, up to 6 TB of storage and an RTX 2070 GPU. Unlike similar Intel desktop-replacement models, these AMD laptops are a fair bit lighter and require less power.

The Ryzen 5 4600H model comes with 8 GB of RAM, while the Ryzen 7 4800H gets 16 GB. This difference will only set you back US$70. Both variants include 15.6-inch 1080p IPS displays with 120 Hz refresh rate, Radeon RX 5500M 4 GB VRAM dGPUs, and 512 GB NVMe storage. These are available for pre-order at Newegg and will start shipping in late April.

While OnePlus has confirmed that it will be launching the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro on April 14, the OnePlus 8 Lite has apparently not made the cut. In fact, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000-powered device is now rumoured to launch as the OnePlus Z later this year.

Realme introduced its 6 series of smartphones to Europe via an online launch today (March 31, 2020). It consists of the 6 and 6i - with no mention of the Pro variant available in other regions. This event also debuted the MediaTek Helio G70-powered C3 in this market.

There are reports that Nintendo has big plans to celebrate 35 years since Super Mario Bros. came out. The celebration apparently includes remastering a whole host of Super Mario games specifically for the Nintendo Switch. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy are believed to be on the remaster list.

Rumour has it that NVIDIA has delayed the release of its GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs until September. Citing the cancellation of GTC 2020 and the re-scheduling of Computex 2020 as reasons, NVIDIA apparently planned to release its Ampere architecture this month. This may be nothing new though, especially as NVIDIA would struggle to delay something it never formally announced.

The latest CPU retail sales revealed from Mindfactory will make for hard reading for Intel. AMD is often dominant in terms of processor sales with the large German retailer, but the latest figures are really worth taking a closer look at. The individual sales numbers for both the Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X top the total sales for all Intel CPUs.
