Had your fill of the GTX 16 series yet? Well, Gigabyte has gone and released a GDDR6 version of the GTX 1650. No, that is not a joke. The cards, as there are two of them, feature 4 GB of VRAM running at 12 Gbps. Presumably based on the TU117, the cards support 896 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bandwidth. Discovered by @momomo_us, the GDDR6 versions of the GTX 1650 are available to purchase now. Expect other AIBs to follow suit, too.

It seems that Dell has forgotten about the XPS 15. While we continue to award the device top marks year on year, Dell has essentially been releasing minor revisions of the same machine since 2015. Now, several UserBenchmark listings have given us an insight into what Dell has planned for this year's XPS 15, the 9500. Hardware-wise at least, it looks like we are in for another year of Dell flogging a dead horse. There is a flicker of a chassis redesign being on the cards, though.

HKEPC appears to have gotten their hands on multiple Comet Lake S parts. Their leaked performance review compares the i7-10700, i5-10500, and i5-10400 against the Ryzen competition and current Coffee Lake parts like the i7-9700K. The i5 parts offered disappointing performance relative to the Ryzen 7 3600X, but the i7-10700K held its own against the Ryzen 7 3700X.

Launched alongside the P40 series, Huawei has announced plans to upgrade over 30 devices to EMUI 10.1. While still based on Android 10, EMUI 10.1 refines upon EMUI 10 in many areas, including smoother animations, along with multi-window, multi-device control panel and multi-screen collaboration improvements. EMUI 10.1 introduces MeeTime too, Huawei's answer to FaceTime. Even an AI assistant is onboard, with Celia likely replacing Google Assistant as the default digital assistant.

Apparently, Oppo found a way to safely implement "air-charging" into smartphones using a new FreeVOOC coil and an electromagnetic emitter that has a 10-meter range. This allows the batteries to constantly charge at 5-10 W while in the range of said emitter, so the phone supposedly never runs out of juice.

Realme introduced its 6 series of smartphones to Europe via an online launch today (March 31, 2020). It consists of the 6 and 6i - with no mention of the Pro variant available in other regions. This event also debuted the MediaTek Helio G70-powered C3 in this market.

Nintendo to celebrate 35 years of Super Mario with remasters of games like Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Switch

There are reports that Nintendo has big plans to celebrate 35 years since Super Mario Bros. came out. The celebration apparently includes remastering a whole host of Super Mario games specifically for the Nintendo Switch. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy are believed to be on the remaster list.

NVIDIA Ampere GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs remain on track for a late Q3 2020 release

Rumour has it that NVIDIA has delayed the release of its GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs until September. Citing the cancellation of GTC 2020 and the re-scheduling of Computex 2020 as reasons, NVIDIA apparently planned to release its Ampere architecture this month. This may be nothing new though, especially as NVIDIA would struggle to delay something it never formally announced.

AMD's Ryzen 5 3600 sold almost three times as many units than all of Intel's chips put together in latest Mindfactory CPU sales data

The latest CPU retail sales revealed from Mindfactory will make for hard reading for Intel. AMD is often dominant in terms of processor sales with the large German retailer, but the latest figures are really worth taking a closer look at. The individual sales numbers for both the Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X top the total sales for all Intel CPUs.
