Vivo has launched its latest 5G smartphone today (March 31, 2020). It is called the S6, in line with some predictions made as a result of its prior leaks. This device has a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen and is also the newest member of the round-camera brigade.

Vivo has unleashed the S6 on the Chinese market, confirming in the process that it is the V1962A device featured in an earlier Geekbench leak. As suggested in this set of performance-test results, it is an Exynos 980-powered phone, which gives its dual-band 5G by default.

In terms of less disclosed specs, its AMOLED display is kept on with a 4500mAh battery. This pack is compatible with 18-watt (W) fast charging, which is a little underwhelming compared to what this OEM is capable of in more premium models. Speaking of, the S6 5G joins its flagship NEX 3S counterpart in having rear cameras in a circular housing.

These shooters comprise 48+8+2+2MP sensors, which are joined by a 32MP selfie camera housed in a waterdrop notch. The S6 5G has an 8GB RAM variant, as suggested in its leaks, although there is also a 6GB base model. They are priced at 2998 (~US$423) and 2698 yuan (~$381) respectively. They will be sold through the OEM's webstore from April 3, 2020.
