The OEM Vivo has announced a new smartphone, the V19, for its Indian customers. This Snapdragon 712-powered device has a 6.44-inch FHD+ display with dual punch-hole cameras. It starts at the equivalent of ~US$370 (INR 27,990), and will be available from May 15, 2020.

Vivo had been obliged to suspend the planned launch of its new V19 in India as the Covid-19 lockdown came into effect. However, now that its restrictions are easing somewhat, the OEM has been hyping this phone online ahead of its release for sale.

The V19 has an appreciable FHD+ AMOLED display rated for 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Vivo has also equipped it with a 4500mAh battery that can charge at up to 33 watts (W) and a build of Android 10. However, most potential customers may be most drawn to it for its camera set-up.

This new Vivo handset has quad rear cameras with a 48MP main sensor. In addition, its selfie cameras are of an unusually high-res 32+8MP conformation, and are found in the screen besides.

The V19 is priced at INR 27,990 (about US$370) for an 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage base model, or INR 31,990 (~$424) to double the latter. It can be ordered in Piano Black or Mystic Siver via Flipkart, Amazon.in or Vivo India's web-store from May 15, 2020.
