ETNews has claimed that Huawei will announce a truly foldable phone in November of this year. According to the South Korean news outlet’s sources, the Shenzhen-based company will show off the device to the public for additional research purposes, but it won’t be immediately available for purchase. It would be quite a coup for Huawei to beat rivals such as Samsung and Apple in this particular race.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has published a patent application for “Luminescence shock avoidance in display devices” that was filed by Apple in December 2017. Luminescence shock occurs when a device is turned on in a dark environment and the brightness of the display temporarily impairs the user’s vision.

HP has unveiled its latest Chromebook offering with the Chromebook x2. It is the first Chromebook to be offered in a detachable form factor and is powered by the Intel 7th generation Core m3 processor that can be paired with up to 8 GB LPDDR3 RAM. HP compares the Chromebook x2 to the iPad Pro and shows how the former is a better value for money in most aspects.

Doogee’s Mix 4 prototype smartphone has been unveiled on a popular YouTube channel, and it seems the Shenzhen-based company has come up with a novel way of discarding the controversial notch. The teased silhouette of the Black Shark presents rounded edges and a power or volume button on the side, but the previously rumored directional gamepad is most likely not going to get included. Among HP's refreshed ZBook line of portable workstations is the ZBook 15V, which HP is aiming squarely at a broader consumer market. The workstation, which starts at USD $950, can be specced with up to an Intel Core i7-8750H or Xeon E-2176M CPU and quite a few other powerful components.

Dell has announced refreshes of the Inspiron 24 5000 AIO and Inspiron 27 7000 AIO bringing Intel 8th Gen processors and Nvidia 10-series graphics. Display options include matte touch screens and 4k UHD. Dell is placing an emphasis on the multimedia capabilities of these AIOs, particularly the 27-inch model.

A Samsung Engineer leaked the fact that he has been working on the next gen Exynos 9820 since January 2018 on his LinkedIn profile. Additionally, the same engineer has been working on a 5G RF chip that is expected to be integrated directly in the Exynos 9820 ever since May 2017. These chips are expected to debut in early 2019.

The new Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 Special Edition brings dedicated 10-series Nvidia graphics for improved hardware acceleration in supported software. In a nod to creators and those who prefer to hand write digital notes, Dell has included an active stylus in the box and 16 GB of RAM to handle editing and design applications.

In a post on the official OnePlus forum, CEO Pete Lau took to mention (or rather confirm) some key OnePlus 6 specs. In the wake of the 'Coffee Lake-H' launch, Dell has unveiled what could be its most ambitious XPS 15 yet. Sporting CPU options up to the Core i9-8950HK and GPU options up to the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, the XPS 15 9570 has everything a multimedia enthusiast would require and more. Prices start from US$999 for the Core i5-8300H variant with expected availability sometime in May 2018.

Fans of the Mi X5 will probably be disappointed to learn that the 6X is set to feature only a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 626 SoC. The imaging setup, however, has been substantially upgraded to include a 20 MP selfie cam along with a dual 20 MP + 8 MP rear cam. Oppo has officially launched the R15 and R15 Pro flagship smartphones in its home market of China. As previously leaked, the devices both incorporate a notched display, which looks set to be the smartphone trend of 2018.

FCC reveals that the Moto Z3 Play will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4 GB RAM, and there will be 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. The Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 finally gets a listing on Dell's website. The convertible notebook comes with a choice of Intel 'Kaby Lake-G' Core i5 and Core i7 processors and offers a few other configuration options. Prices start from US$1,499 with financing options directly from Dell.

Dell's much-awaited 15-inch convertible, the XPS 15 9575, went on sale yesterday. Although Dell originally touted up to 32GB of RAM, it seems that this configuration is impossible to attain for the time being. The XPS 15 9575's RAM is all soldered, and the 32GB SKU will not be available for some time.

Apple is currently working on an all-new design for its market-leading Apple Watch. The new watch will feature a 15 percent larger display and slicker look, marking the first redesign since its launch in 2015.

The Palm Pre could be set to make a comeback to the US market later this year, if a fresh rumor is accurate. The device is expected to be designed and manufactured by Chinese company TCL, which is behind the most recent BlackBerry devices currently on the market like the BlackBerry KEYone.

The Note 9 prototype that popped up on GeekBench was pitted against the S9+ and it ended up a bit behind in both single core and multi-core tests. The latest Voyo Vbook i5 is almost as fast as a Surface pro, but comes at nearly half the price. There is a rumor that Sony may be working on a new Android tablet. The rumor started after certain lines of code from a teardown of the camera app on the new Xperia XZ2 smartphone appeared on a blog called Sumahoinfo. The code features the words “Tablet_8inch” and “Tablet_10inch,” and it also contains some simple concept images of devices that could hint at future Sony tablets.

Huawei have officially unveiled the P20 and P20 Pro. Important specifications such as RAM and Storage were missing from the announcement, but the rumors are likely to be pretty reliable, based on the accuracy of the confirmed screen and camera specifications.

Swiss computer-accessory manufacturer Logitech has announced a couple of new items specifically designed for the just-released sixth-generation iPad. Firstly, there is a stylus called the Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil that offers an eight-hour battery life. Then there is the Logitech Rugged Combo 2 case and keyboard combination, which has been designed to protect the newly revised 9.7-inch iPad from bumps and drops.
