The Galaxy S9+ is Samsung's costliest device to produce to date, but it's still less expensive than the iPhone X. Among the most expensive components integrated in the Galaxy S9 there are the Exynos 9810 SoC, the AMOLED screen and the camera setup.

Apple is hard at work developing its own next generation of Retina displays according to a new report. The company is prototyping its own MicroLED technology in a US factory before potentially partnering to mass produce the panels in the next two to three years.

The LifeBook U938 comes with many options, including i5/i7 Intel Kaby Lake-R CPUs, up to 20 GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB SATA III or NVMe SSDs, a 13.3-inch FHD touchscreen or brighter non-touch display, and enterprise-oriented features like a SmartCard reader, fingerprint scanner or palm vein scanner.

Oppo's upcoming R15 and R15 Plus smartphone models will be powered by MediaTek's Helio P60 SoC and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, respectively. Both come with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB storage, pre-installed Android 8.1, a 20 MP selfie cam, a 16 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera, and a 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080 AMOLED screen.

Andy Rubin has green lit the rollout of the Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Essential Phone PH-1. The update is available immediately to all users over-the-air and brings a raft of new features to the device.

With the new Elite Slice G2 model, HP also included a "Center of Room" 12.3-inch tablet that makes it easy to setup meetings with little to no input from users. Microsoft has announced that it is working on a successor to its surprisingly hot-selling Surface Hub for Enterprise. Although details are scant at this stage, the Surface Hub 2 will bring with it additional features like Microsoft Teams integration.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has published a patent application made by Apple Inc. titled “ingress prevention for keyboards.” The wordy document features a number of technical drawings showing alternative examples of key assembly. The general idea of the patent is to “block contaminant ingress,” so could this mean future MacBooks will have crumb-resistant spill-proof keyboards?

The HP convertible could be one of the very first notebooks shipping with Kaby Lake-G as early as March 26. The Core i7-8705G is expected to be significantly faster than any Intel iGPU solution thus far and rival the discrete GeForce GTX 1050 in gaming performance. Microsoft has released the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced for members of the general public to pre-order. The device had previously been made available to business customers only, but now it will be possible for anyone to buy it. The Core i5, 256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM version of the computer is available at a price of US$1449, with special pricing available to those who qualify (students, military, etc.).

A prototype Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has surfaced in an HTML5 test. While the test does not reveal any hardware details as such, it does seem apparent that the upcoming Note phablet will be sporting an 18.5:1 aspect ratio display similar to the recently launched Galaxy S9.

LG could be set to reveal its most cutting-edge smartphone design yet if a patent for a new full-screen display module is any guide. The new panel is almost all-display with just a small cutout for what would likely house a speaker and tiny front-facing camera.

Start computing in the rain with Panasonics new ToughPad FZ-M1 ruggedised Windows 10 Pro tablet. As is common with ruggedised devices, it is equipped with an older generation SoC — Intel 6th generation in this case. The upcoming successor to the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be the P20 and not P11.
