Voyo is a relatively new Chinese tablet maker that has not yet expended to the Western market, but users all across the world can easily order any Voyo product through the BangGood online store. With last year’s launch of Intel gen 8 ULV CPUs came a price drop for all the previous models, so decently specced tablets can be bought for a fraction of the price. For instance, Voyo’s latest 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet is similar to Microsoft’s Surface Pro model, but it comes at almost half the price and the specs are close enough.
Despite having the i5 in its denomination, the new Voyo tablet is powered by an Intel Pentium 4415U Kaby lake CPU, which is a tad slower than the Core M models found on the Surface Pro. However, everything else seems quite on par. The 3:2 aspect ratio fully laminated display is 12.6-inch wide and comes with a 2880 x 1920 IPS touchscreen that supports 10-point finger and pen inputs. The CPU is coupled with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM plus a 128 GB M.2 SATA3 SSD.
Other features include:
• microSD card slot
• 2x USB 3.0 Type-A ports + 1x USB 3.1 Type-C port
• micro HDMI port
• audio jack
• camera setup: 2 MP selfie sensor + 5 MP main rear sensor
• WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0
• 10,200 mAh battery
• dimensions: 12 x 8.5 x 0.4 inches
• weight: 2 lbs including the aluminum-magnesium alloy chassis
Unfortunately, the detachable keyboard with 1.5 mm traveling and the pen with 2048 level of pressure sensitivity are sold separately. The Vbook i5 will start shipping on April 5, but the tablet can already be preordered from BangGood for US$479.99.
