EKWB introduced the Quantum Vector, a new full-cover water block for the Asus ROG Strix 5700 series. With D-RGB lighting and enhanced thermal performance, the Quantum Vector is an excellent high-end cooling solution for Navi owners. But with a $154 sticker price, it may more sense to just buy a stock RTX 2070 Super.

This month's update to GPU-Z has an AMD flavour it. The popular GPU utility not only addresses some VRAM reporting and detection issues of AMD GPUs, but it also adds support for the Radeon Pro W5700. The Radeon RX 5500 XT has been added to the list of supported graphics cards too, days ahead of its official unveiling.

AMD could be readying the Ryzen 4000 lineup and the X670 chipset for a late 2020 launch, according to a report from MyDrivers. Images of the ASRock Challenger RX 5500 XT card and the Gigabyte RX 5500 XT Gaming OC and OC cards have been leaked online. The two AIB partners are offering the AMD Navi 14-based graphics card in an overclocked state, with 4 GB and 8 GB model availability. The AMD RX 5500 XT is expected to be launched on December 12.

The Radeon RX 5500 XT is nothing more than an RX 5500 with a wider release, according to multiple sources? The XT will share all its specifications with its non-XT sibling, although AIBs will offer it with up to 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 4 GB more than the RX 5500 has. The RX 5500 XT is due to arrive on December 12 and is up for pre-order for 1,499 CNY (~US$213).

AMD wants to build a mini PC ecosystem around its embedded R1000 and V1000 CPUs, but some OEMs like Maxtang want to offer more performance through laptop-grade CPU implementation. In spite of the more powerful Ryzen 5 2500U CPU, the Maxtang VHFP30 comes in a slim fanless case that can accommodate up to 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, up to a 512 GB SSD plus a 2.5-inch HDD.

Popular diagnostic tool AIDA64 has been updated for the arrival of 2020 processors, namely AMD Ryzen 4000 "Vermeer" and "Renoir" processors. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X processor has been setting and breaking a whole handful of records over at HWBot, amply demonstrating the potency of Team Red’s latest threat to Intel at the high-end of the CPU market. The budget level AMD Athlon 3000G, which was announced two weeks ago, has now been released for sale. This wallet-friendly processor is fully unlocked, bringing back the original spirit of overclocking by allowing users to buy one of the cheapest CPUs available and draw out a little extra performance.

AMD’s Radeon RX 5500 desktop graphics card has been put through a few gaming benchmarks to see how it performed. Unsurprisingly, the RX 5500 couldn’t keep up with the chosen competition: Gigabyte’s GeForce GTX 1660 OC and Sapphire’s RX 580 Nitro+. However, the AMD video card proved to be a good Full HD performer that required less power than its competitors.

Rumours about NVIDIA releasing a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER are doing the rounds again, this time from a reliable leaker of upcoming NVIDIA products. While this contradicts what NVIDIA stated earlier this year, the prospect of AMD being on the cusp of releasing Navi 23 'NVIDIA killer' GPUs may have stirred the green team into action. Will it be another RTX 2070 SUPER style upgrade or something more underwhelming like the RTX 2080 SUPER?

The new Geekbench include 6-core / 12-thread and 10-core / 20-thread models from the upcoming Comet Lake-S with relatively low boost clocks. They also pack the UHD Graphics 630 iGPU, so no Xe architecture that could boost the graphics performance. The Android-x86 project has now released its first Android 9.0 Pie-based release candidate, bringing the OS to x86 systems for the first time. The new build should offer better compatibility, performance and stability than older versions of Android-x86 too. It is not ready for the prime time yet, though.

The Mi Surface is a recently-released gaming-focused monitor from Xiaomi. Now, a new leak has pointed toward an additional variant of this display line. It is to measure 29 inches rather than 34 as in the original, yet retain this device's 1500R curvature and 144 hertz (Hz) refresh rate.

Current rumours are that NVIDIA has delayed the release of its Ampere GPUs, the next-generation successors of the company's current RTX 20 series product stack. Initially expected in the first half of next year, the 7 nm chips may make an appearance as early as March, but will not hit shelves until several months later.

AMD’s Ryzen 9 3950X processor has been spotted on PassMark. The chip was tested on the CPU Mark benchmark for “high end CPUs” and scored magnificently. Only Epyc server processors from the same manufacturer prevented the sample from hitting the top spot, while Intel rivals such as the Core i9-9980XE had to make way for the upstart super-processor.

Microsoft has let it be known that checking for updates on Windows 10 PCs that run the stable-channel 1903 version may result in the ability to download its successor, 1909. This November 2019 replacement for that build can also now be accessed by business users and server maintainers.
