Fresh details about Microsoft's first store in the UK have emerged online. Published on the City of Westminster's planning portal, Microsoft has confirmed the size of its London store's retail floor space and offered more details about its layout.

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is proving to be one of the more innovative smartphone makers on the market – or at least one that is happy to experiment with new technology. Leaked photos of the sequel to its clever all-screen Vivo NEX with pop up camera show that the company is radically changing course once again for its flagship smartphone.

Renders based on leaked information of the Sony Xperia XZ4 have surfaced, courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) and MySmartPrice. The renders show some notable design shifts, such as a flat front display, a triple-camera setup on the back, and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button on the side. Note that these renders are based on rumors and leaks and should be taken as such.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 could very well use an in-display selfie camera eliminating the need for a notch altogether. The Galaxy S10 could implement the Infinity-O display that was showed off during the company's recent developer conference. A design patent to this effect was applied for at the Hague International Design System, whose database is managed by the World Intellectual Property Office.

The Apple iPad Pro is apparently not a very durable tablet as demonstrated by Zack Nelson of the popular YouTube channel, JerryRigEverything. Images of what is purported to be a Google Pixel 3 Lite device have been leaked online. The pictures show a smartphone that features a 3.5 mm jack and is not blighted with the presence of a notch. Specifications for the device are also listed with the leaked images, suggesting it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 as SoC.

According to the specs revealed on TENAA, the Honor 10 Lite will retain the 6.21-inch 1080p display from the original Honor 10 model, but the 24 MP selfie cam notch will be smaller. The mid-range smartphone will be powered by the Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB storage. The rear dual-cam will only get 13 + 2 MP sensors.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 Core is now official and the phone's specifications have been listed on the company's Mobile Press website. The Galaxy J4 Core is an Android Go phone and therefore, sports modest specs. Pricing and availability details are not yet available.

Microsoft has announced that it is taking pre-orders for LTE versions of the Surface Go in selected markets. The LTE Advanced models will ship from November 20 in the US and will start at US $679 (£619) for the 128 GB SSD/8 GB RAM version.

Google said that it will now allow developers to keep apps in multiple windows in a resumed state simultaneously in Android 9 Pie. Developers just need to add the required meta-data to their app's manifest to opt-in. Multi-resume is part of a series of developments to make Android more friendly to foldable screens. Although this feature cannot be tested in current devices, OEMs are expected to push out OS updates that will enable developers to test out this functionality for their apps soon.

The upcoming foldable Galaxy phone is going to be a dear proposition for a lot of people, according to a report by The Korea Times. The Galaxy F (or X) is estimated to cost around 2 million won or approximately US$1,770. The outlets quotes analysts who say that Samsung will be getting deliveries from parts suppliers this month and the company will be ready for a launch sometime early next year.

A teardown of the newly launched OnePlus 6T reveals that the company is using an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The camera that recognizes the fingerprint gets light from the AMOLED display that shines the light only in one direction (towards the camera). Overall, the implementation is well done and this could pave the way for in-display selfie cameras in future phones.
