The popular navigation aid Waze has had the ability to control the audio from several music streaming apps for some time. YouTube Music is the latest example of these. Users who subscribe to the Premium version of this service can take advantage of this new feature.

The Realme 5 series has been released in India, and has been followed closely by the Xiaomi Mi A3 in the same market. It turns out that the Mi A3 and the base model from the new line does indeed have the same processor, although the 5 has quad cameras where the Xiaomi has 3. The latter starts at INR 12,999 (~US$182), whereas the former starts at INR 9,999 ($140).

Design-wise, the upcoming Reno2 mid-ranger from Oppo appears to be very similar to its predecessor. The specs, however, got quite a few upgrades. The screen is slightly bigger with a 6.55-inch diagonal and 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and True HDR10 support, while the internals now feature a Snapdragon 730G SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. The rear camera also got updated with a 48 + 13 + 8 +2 MP setup.

A new leak on the subject of Motorola's upcoming foldable phone states that it will have a launch event in the US prior to one in Europe. It is also thought to cost US$1500, which will translate to the same amount in Euros. A new render for this phone suggests it will definitely retain the iconic Razr looks as it does so.

The OEM Vivo recently released a teaser in which it hinted that its upcoming flagship, the Nex 3, would have a state-of-the-art waterfall display. Now, the product line's manager, Li Xiang, has revealed a photo of a phone in which the screen appears to cascade over the side of the device. However, the effect has already been disputed on social media.

The GST Gemini is currently in production and is scheduled to ship into Indiegogo backers in March 2020. There are regular, as well as Pro versions with 13 and 15-inch sizes. The regular versions are powered by Intel's Core i5-8350U CPUs coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD storage, while the Pro versions integrate the Core i7-8550U CPUs along with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD storage.

A device with Redmi branding and the model number M1908C3IC has been certified by the Chinese telecomms authority TENAA. It is believed that this device will be called the 8 on launch. It has dual cameras and 3 RAM SKUs.

Xiaomi has announced that it will launch the Mi A3 as India's next Android One device on August 21, 2019. However, Amazon may have spoiled its reveal by publishing listings for its SKUs ahead of time. They show that these phones will at least start at INR 14,998 (~US$210).

Lu Weibing, Redmi's general manager, has reportedly teased the brand's upcoming Note 8 by using it in the creation of a message about it on Weibo. The device tag for this post is allegedly "Note8Android". Its actual content is made of praise for a device with a possibly improved camera and screen.

According to a recent leak, the entire 2020 A-series will integrate rear triple-cam setups, and the A81 and A91 models will also get ToF sensors.

The tech world has largely been operating on the theory that the next generation of Apple smartphones will be called something along the lines of 'iPhone 11' for some time now. LG’s next flagship smartphone the G8X ThinQ has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling at IFA Berlin next month. ZTE's high-value sub-brand Nubia has just released its latest phone. The Z20 looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S10, if that phone had an additional display on its rear panel. This new device is powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, up to 8GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery with 27-watt fast charging.

A prominent Google-news blog claims to have heard from its sources that the Pixel series will be upgraded to 6GB of RAM in 2019. The 2 upcoming phones are also now slated to feature 90-hertz refresh rates, a feature that is to be termed "Smooth Display". Finally, the devices will stick with the memory SKUs from last year.

Previously rumored to release some time in 2020, the foldable iPhones may not even be the first foldable devices to be released by Apple. According to a new UBS market analysis, Apple may first release folding iPads in 2021, and iPhones could follow shortly after, but loyal Apple customers should be prepared for prices in excess of US$1,000.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are finally official. Although most of the details were accurately leaked ahead of launch, there are some interesting tidbits that that only surfaced during the official reveal.

Prices start at $979 with an expected ship date of September 9. Dell will start accepting orders on August 8, 9 AM EST sharp for its second generation XPS 13 2-in-1. Exact prices and SKUs will all be revealed by morning for the Ice Lake-powered and vapor chamber-cooled convertible.

Thanks to the new 7 nm EUV manufacturing process, the Exynos 9825 is expected to match and even surpass Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855. A tech blog claims to have dug up a new patent for a phone that looks suspiciously like a POCO F1, albeit with more cameras and a punch-hole display. As this design is indeed attributed to the OEM Xiaomi, it may just be possible that the cost-effective flagship-killing brand is not dead after all.

Nintendo has reportedly picked up IGZO technology for its upcoming 2019 Switch models. OnePlus has released Developer Preview 4 for Android Q, a version of its OS that gives the user the latest insights into how it may work when it has been released for general consumption. Huawei’s much ballyhooed in-house operating system HongMeng OS (aka Oak OS) could be revealed this week according to a Chinese report.
